Question about 2000 Ducati 748 E- S (Biposto-Monoposto) - R

1 Answer

Headlight adjustment I just bought a 01 748s (with no manual) and I noticed that riding at night is a little scary because when I turn a corner I cant see where I'm going! I was wondering if there is any way to adjust the headlights? The ground right in front of the bike is well lit but not much more than 25-30 yards beyond that. even the high beam doesn't shoot very far in a turn. I've looked around and can't seem to find an adjustment. I thought the little hole between the headlights on the nose of the bike might be it but it made no perceivable change.

He airbox will come off pretty easy you have to pulle off the breatherhose from under the airbox it goes behind the rear cylinder. also the funnels on the injectors need to be taken off. I am not sure what kind of funnels there are on a 748 compared to a 996, but you on a 996, you only have to twist them for a 1/4 turn, no more, and then pull, pretty hard, to get them off.,,,

Greenfield ride on mower front axle/wheels

zYou are correct. there is an adjustment for the wheels. The front wheels are connected to the steering by tie rods, as in a car. This kind of adjustment is not found in a user manual, but you can do it. Inspect how the wheels are connected and inspect the tie rods. The tie rods have to be disconnected from the wheel and turned in or out depending on which direction the wheel needs to go ,in or out. One tie rod is right hand thread. The other is left hand thread. So the adjustment is making the tie rods shorter or longer. If you do a search on the web ' riding mower tie rod adjustment', you'll find plenty of info.
Good luck

Tail lights dont go on

Most likely a fuse or circuit breaker. Check your fuse box for a blown fuse. I assume your brake lights still work. Yeah, that's scary alright. You were lucky not to get a ticket.

Dim Screen on the 2001 Toyota Prius

Yes the screen dims automatically when the lights are on to suit night driving. I am not specifically familiar with the 01 model, however on my 08 model, the display brightness is also manually adjustable via a button located below and to the right of the display. The button is marked with a series of short lines assembled in an arc. Hope this helps.

My headlights will not turn on. Is there a fuse that works them, or a switch on a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

Yes there is a headlight fuse(or two) under the hood. However I've had many customers who were driving around with one lowbeam and never noticed until the second one burned out, scary, but true!!!

Can't adjust 2004 Ford Expedition headlight

I had a similar problem on my 04 expedition. I just bought it and the headlights were aiming too far down. A rather larger gap was noticeable between the headlight and the hood. The so called adjustment bolt did nothing. I removed the headlights and found 2 issues. On the adjustment bolt there is a washer. Make sure when you re-install the headlight the washer sets on top of the plastic slot and is visible when looking down behind the headlight. Without the washer being in the correct location it will not tighten the headlight in place.
Second I found the adjustment bolt adjusted nothing. It merely tightened the headlight in place. What I had to do was to loosen this bolt and physically move the headlight into place and the re-tighten the bolt. Hence the slot is the adjustment. Turning the bolt CW or CCW did not move the headlight.
I tried several things trying to figure why the lights would not move until I realized I could move the light with my hands and tightened them in place using the adjustment bolt.

This may not be your issue but I found the owners manual instructions to be useless.

Make sure the bulb is correctly seated in the housing. I had the same problem with mine and it turns out the previous owner didn't seat the H3 bulb correctly so it wasn't lined up 100% so it wasn't getting aimed correctly within the projector.,,
