Defo carb prob floats too low or your going to high. Also make sure you have enough fuel in your tank so that it covers the fuel taps when you are in the air. ,

I believe you have a carburetor. There should be a rubber boot from the carb, to the airfilter. the boot may have come loose for the carb. and is taking in to much air.

Try spraying a fine mist of air induction cleaner in the throttlebody while the engine is running. If it stops missing you have an injector that is not working.

check or relace your coil pack due to the fact that when a coil pack is going bad it usually looses its umph. when it get hot and that would explain random miss fires

Missing

Sounds like a load miss. Chk plug wires for deterioration and or cross firing. Wires should not cross over each other. Worn plugs load wires causing increase spark out put increasing cross firing potential

Miss fire

Sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor) at the throttle body there is a black box on the opposite side to the cable mech, looking at it from front of car place a multimeter into where the 4 wires enter. between pin 1 (nearest to you) and pin 2 when the throttle is closed (no foot on the gas) it should read 5volts if not losen the 2 screws that lock it (this requires a very long screwdriver) and twist it until it reads 5v.
Hope you don't skin your knuckles.... Dan

Check to see if your overflow tube againt the fire wall on passenger side is not leaking onto cylinder 4. Pull spark plug boot and make sure it is dry. When the heater core starts going bad it will leak out over flow right there
