Probably just to stop rubbish and water going in ... thats why the air box lid is also under the seat as it would be harder to get rubbish in under there and water too .... in most cases anyway . It also stops oil that has been blown out of the crankcase from dripping out of the air box onto your gleaming engine.

I have an amana tandem 7300... It does not do anything i turn it on it makes a buzzing noise....

First part any program is to activate pump to expel any water left from previous wash.sounds like something is blocking pump.coins/bra wire / hair bobble etc.if theres a flap at bottom of machine you ll find a bung behind to unscrew.water will come out! So tke drain hose from back and hold at ground level in a bucket etc then remove bung.u should be able to feel a plastic impeller(cross piece that turns) if it wont turn pullout what ever is stopping to unplug machine first but quite safe to clear by hand.then put back bung and it should then work

I have put unleaded petrol in my tuscon crtd cdx diesel oops. how do i drain my tank is there a bung in the bottom if so where has i can't see it or do you advise me to get profess drained. also could you...

there will be a bung in the bottom of the tank but i advise you get it done professionally, because they'll have to check and test alot of things as putting petrol in a diesel engine can cause alot of damage internally. you probably shouldn't even drive it to a mechanics shop because the more you drive it the more damage it'll cause.

How u doing i wn kn how i could put transmition oil on audi 2000 a6 please

assuming your car is an auto- transmission.
all directions i am giving you are from the point of view of sitting in the drivers seat, if you look underneath there should be a single bung on the lower- most point of the oil pan, this is for draining and checking the level. to fill oil, there is a short pipe to the left side of the transmission, with a bend pointing up. there is a cap on this which is removed for filling the oil. the correct level is when the car is running in park, the bung removed. when there is correct oil levelyou will see the over flow , comming from the bung. to drain the oil, there is a small tube up in the bung- hole which can be removed with an allen key.

Just checking.... it is a manual gearbox?

You may need a special tool for the drain plug and a 17mm allen key for the filler (some use the special drain tool for the filler as well)

The drain plug is located under the diff housing.

The filler plug is located on the left (nearside) off the gearbox (look to the left of the hole and you can see the 17mm hex filler bung).

Check you can undo the filler bung, then drain the gearbox oil.

Refit drain bung and fill gearbox through filler/level ********* until gearbox oil is up to the level of the filler bung.

Refit, test drive, check for leaks and retest level again when cold.

Samsung washing machine

clean the debris filter usually situated at the bottom of the washing maching you will need to open the panel, you should see a rubber tube with a bung in the end you need to take the bung out in order to drain the washer, once you have drained the washer you can clean the filter by unscrewing the large black round bung. hope this helps
