SOURCE: !983 honda magna v45 clutch not engaging

if you rebuilt your carburetors you have made a mistake when you reassembled them a carb must sprsy a fine mist of "dry" fuel into the engine intake your carbs are flooding you need to check your fuel floats , jets and, don't forget to check the power piston circuit and, balance (sync) your carbs on the bike when you're done
your chuch is fine if you did not touch it

SOURCE: replaced the clutch in my xlh1200 1995 with a kevlar clutch kit. when I put it back together I couldnt squeeze the clutch. I took off the derby cover and figured out that the adjustment screw was hitt

I would go back to scratch. Disassemble the clutch basket and reassemble it making sure you have it set in proper order. Then reassemble every thing. Also double check the clutches you bought are the proper ones for your bike.

SOURCE: I have a 1978 Yamaha DT175E. It is runnig rough

Check the choke to see it is not stuck on.
Something is causing the bike to run rich as you said.
Make sure the throttle slide isn't stuck and is working ok.
Try a smaller size jet.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific ATV. Being able to see the parts in secquence should help you to reassemble the motor. Get a new friend. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

Check the fuel flow by opening the drain screw in the bottom of the bowl. Should run freely. If that's not running freely, clean the tank and petcock. Also check the gas cap and make sure it's venting properly, if that's plugged it will affect fuel flow. If all that's good, start checking compression, reed valves etc. Get back to me with any more Q's.Good luck!

Go to the website below and you can see an exploded view of the clutch assembly. Do the "Parts search by model". If that doesn't answer what you need, reply with specific questions and I will try to help further. Please rate my answer. Thanks. www.babbittsonline.com
