Question about 2008 Buell Lightning XB12STT
I have had my xb12s for 1 1/2 years and just in the last month or so i have had a problem. when i am out ridding and the bike is at normal operating temp i pull up to a stop and the idle doesnt' drop back down where it belongs. it stays a little over 2k.
Take it in to your local dealer have them recalibrate the TPS (throttle position sensor). It costs one hour labor at the dealer. What they do is bring it up to 315 degrees shut it down zero the TPS voltage, reset it to between 5.2-5.8 volts, then they start it back up and set the idle at 1100rpm.That should take care of your problem. Unless you have a intake leak or something mechanical.,,,
