Turn signals my turn signals don't work at all. I just replaced my battery saturday

And before that they worked great with the old battery. This new battery is from the HD shop and now they don't work whats so ever. At first when I turned them on they were flashing like they were on crack. Now today they don't come on at might want to change the turn signal relay sounds like it's going out on you the dealer should have one  if not you might can get it  crossrefferenced at napa or autozone parts store you'll need the  part # off the old one tho. I don't know what model Buell you have but on the 12R the signal flasher is mounted under the fairing on the right side of the bike.,,

Hi Joe

I don't own a Ducati or know it's circuits.
But, as an ex auto electrician I suggest the following.... if your short of electrical tools.

Use a simple wire from Battery 12v terminal (with a fuse or 10Amp circuit breaker in series with the wire.
Connect to headlight connector low beam / high beam to see if it works.
Lights work OK?

Use a simple 12v test light connected to ground or Battery Negative to trace the wire back.
Check on either side of connectors.
Check Fuse Block with test light to find open fuse.
Process of elimination

Bike starts to turn over but then stops and you hear this rapid clicking noise. Prior to this it would start but sometimes hear a fairly loud crunch noise like starter or something before it kicked over....

Its probably either a low charge on your battery or the battery cables don't have a good connection. If the battery's more than a few years old I'd just replace it because it will likely continue losing charge now that its already been drained once.

Left turn signals don't work, but rt does.

turn signals need full 12.7 battery voltage to work sometimes when the batt is loww only one side will blink ,if the flasher is bad sometimes only one side will blink charge ur batt and try again a quick check to see if both sides are wired correctly or that the wires to the side not working is to unplug the flasher a small square box sometimes under tank or left side cover and jump the two wires and put blinkers on each side they should come on but not blink and that will tell u if ur flasher is ok or not good luck!

I have a 1984 v65 1098cc-problem is turn signals'some times they work or don't.if i ride it for 10-15 miles they generaly come on.i have checked fuses' wireing harnes'+connections-replaced...

check switch take test light at switch wires going to lights prob wit tester tester should flash wit lights make sure u r lesting right wirees srry not sure on colors should be the same at light next if that tests fine try hazard switch some of those bikes the lights go through those

How do you get the bolt out of the rear turn signals. On a stock 2001 sportster

I don't work on the "newer" bikes. I only work on the old stuff that the dealerships will no longer work on. But, on some of the older Sporty's, you had to take the turn signal lens off and remove the bulb. The bolt was hidden inside the turn signal.

2000 Roadking my speedo works when it wants,and when my speedo doesn't work,my self canceling turn signals don't self cancel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is with the speedo. The speedo has a "lean switch" that works in conjunction with the turn signal canceller. If the bike does not detect a "lean", the TSC will not cancel the turn signals Resolve the speedo problem and the turn signal problem will go away. As for what's causing the speedo problem, I have no idea other than maybe a loose connection. I've read a LOT of problems with the speedo not working on this forum but since I don't work the bikes built in 2000 and later, I'm afraid I have no experience with the problem and therefore cannot offer any advice.

Sorry but they either work or they dont.
If yours isn't working, replace it.
But before you replce it consider checking the other components, because ign mods are exspensive.
it sounds like you've been already checking the other stuff. heres what i'd check if your bike came to my shop.
1. battery fully charged, and can take a load. (weak batteries = weak ign power)
i have a bike that won't fire at all with weak battery. Make sure battery is good.
2. check for spark at plugs, make sure plugs are good. Pull plugs and turn motor over.
rest plug next to head and turn over, do not touch the plug while turning over
or you can be shocked.look for spark.
if you have spark , then you ign mod is working.
if no spark, then check #3
3. power to coils. check the power going into coils,
if power but no spark, then coil is bad.
if no power. check #4
4. power to coils comes from a ignition system ( points/ cdi /ign. module)
there is a stator and a rotor. and a signal generator. on your motor
the signal generator wire sends a signal to the cdi, every time the rotor rotates.
the ignition system (ign.mod) sends power to coil.
so if no signal to the cdi, then signal generator is bad
if signal going into cdi but not sending the power to the coils then the cdi/ ign. mod is bad.

Wiring problems on 2000 Harley 883 Sportster Motorcycle. Bike was dropped busting right rear turn signal assembly. I replaced that turn signal, but it does not work. Wiring seems totally wierd as what...

If you have two wires that go to the turn signal and they don't work one way. You could try them switched around.
This is for a turn signal that is NOT also a running light. (Yellow Lens to Rear)
Use a test light and turn on the turn signal test both wires with the test light clipped to the ground or chassis of the bike. The wire that causes the light to blink will be the positive or hot side. That wire should attach to the bottom of the bulb.
The other wire is the Ground or common and that should attach to the side of the bulb holder.
