Started my bike and tried pushing out of its parking spot and it was super hard to push. I look at the rear tire and what do you know it's flat. I only have 2275 on my bike and still have some pretty big chicken strips. I checked the whole tire and there is no sign of puncture, cracks or damage of any kind. I called the dealership and they want $359 to pick it up and fix it.  I rode it yesterday afternoon and it was fine. I havn't checked to see if it hold air yet. I still need a air compressor.,check the valve stem, if the valve stem is bad then you can just replace that and pump it up. Go to the nearest place that does tires and ask how to tell if a valve stem is bad and how much it would be to fix it. Shouldn't be much. Maybe $20 and only takes a few minutes.,,,

Wondering if the 18 inch rims from my 85 Yamaha fz 750 will work on my 97 Yamaha Yzf r1000 thunder ace ?? Thunder ace currently 17 inch rims

first u need to get a full outside diameter of the new wheel and tire u plan to use. u also need to measure the total outside diameter of the current rim an tire u are using right now. and u also need to measure the width of tire to make sure there is clearance within the front of the swing arm in the front of the tire.

I have a nail in my motorcycle tire what's best

Depending on where the hole is at. and is it a tubeless or tubed tire? Is it a MAG or a spoke wheel. I'll guess Tubeless and MAG. You can just throw a good mushroom plug in it as long as it's not too close to the outside edge. The best way would be to remove the wheel and plug and patch from the inside. At that point you may as well just buy a new tire though, unless you do it yourself. If this is a metric bike that you're getting on it all the time and banging corners and dragging knee....personally, I'd replace the tire.

1996 rm 125 rear shock adjustment

he Tires
  • Change your tires to paddle tires or sand tires. These are available at most motorcycle shops or online retailers. These tires enable you to push and stay on top of the sand, giving you traction where normal tires would not work.
The Air Filter
  • Use a heavily oiled air filter with a sock protector around the outside. This provides extra protection where fine sand particles could bypass your air filter, and enter your engine causing significant damage. Clean and oil your filter frequently when riding in the sand.

The Fuel Filter
  • Use an in-line fuel filter or, if you already have one, change it frequently. This will keep fine debris from the sand from entering the engine through the fuel system.

I was out of town and the bike sat for two months. I went to go for a ride and when I rolled onto the road surface I felt a strange feeling in the front end that I immediately thought was low tire...

I restore alot of older bikes, this may not pertain exactly to yours, but sounds like the stem bearings may be dry, or even flat spotted from sitting. now I know it seems unlikely in just two months, but you never know. also check to see if the wheel spins freely on the axel, as the brake can not be fully releasing, causing this same feeling. I will be on here for a few hours, message me if you need to.

How do you remove the front tire from a Honda crf 150 cc dirt bike?

The axel has a nut on one end and two bolts or one pinching the shaft on the other. Jack the wheel off the grond unscrew the nut loosen the pinch blots pull out the axel and the wheel falls out Watch wher the spacers go as they have to go back turned the right way. the brake rotor has to be lined up with the caliper to put it back in as you don't push the brake with the wheel off as the pads will have tobe pried open to get the rotor back in. Tring to fix a flat? same as a bicycle except use soapy water don't forget to use water to cheak for leaks then put on the powder on the tube before it all goes back good tire irons come from bike dealers and bike parts suppliers. Screw drivers cause more troble than thier worth. Road going bikes chage the tube patches are Illegal DOT

Goldwing tires

Go to the Honda shop and get the stock tire the factory put on the bike when it was new. You can't go wrong with OEM parts.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Tubed tire, right? COULD be a flat spot but my gut tells me the tire isn't mounted correctly. My guess is that if you look at the sidewall of the tire next to the rim on one side or the other, you'll notice that the rubber edge that sits just outside the rim isn't consistent around the entire rim because they didn't seat the bead properly. Typically all you have to do is let some air out and resituate the tire on the rim a little and keep an eye on it as you inflate it. You can overinflate the tire to around 50 to 60 PSI to help it seat correctly on the rim but be sure to reduce the air pressure--you don't want to leave it like that. The other thing it could be if it's doing this at high speeds only is that the wheel is severely out of balance, in which case you would need to take the wheel off the bike and balance it, but my gut still says it's the way the tire was installed on the bike. For those of you looking for the procedure for changing a tire and/or balancing a wheel, this is a pretty good step-by-step guide: http://www.clarity.net/~adam/tire-changing-doc.html
