Re: turn signal problem
And the strange thing is that when i turn on the alarm all four bulbs work fine?? That odviously rules out the bulbs and sockets.
turn signal?? check the switch on the bar. its best to take it apart but?? it may not be making a good contact. try spraying some wd-40 in there. dont worry this is good for it.
otherwise you can check the voltage from the switchetc to pin point the problem.,,

i am not sure if you mean your hazard lights actually come on, or if all 4 indicators come on at the same time. hazards coming on would suggest a fault in the indicator switch, or a short in the wiring.
all 4 indicators coming on, would suggest a bad earth connection on the rear left side of the vehicle. this is far more likely, and can be cured by tracing the earth wire to teh body of the car, and check for loose, damaged wires, or corrosion at the earth point on the body.
easy way to tell, is to switch on the tail lights at the same time. if these get brighter and dimmer in time with the indicators, it is almost certainly an earth fault.
The quick flash is a fault detection for a burnt out bulb. If bulb is good, check bulb socket. Inspect for corrosion. If needed, replace bulb socket. Check bulb socket connector. Check if fuse. Check emergency flashers ( most cars have a separate circuit).
when a turn signal indicator flashes faster than is normal it is your vehicles way of telling you there is a problem with the lighting system, do a visual check of your turn signals and you will find a burned out bulb. just replace the bad one and it will return to normal
Make sure and replace the lamp with the exact same one as the working side. Sounds like their is a mismatch in the lamps of some sort.
If one of the filliments is burnt out this will happen. Just like in car blinkers. Or it will blink fast. Hope this helps.. Happy Holidays. Jay
