I am new to mc's I bought 700 Intimidator and I was practicing my stopping when i stopped by my house I put it in neutral and was getting ready to park it for the night when all of a sudden it just died, so I started it again and the same thing. Lets fast forward to later, when I did some searching, I check alot of things just to be sure. Theres Gas, oil, checked spark plugs, battery.....etc Thats when i noticed a cable hanging down... Shocked again after doing some searching and reading the repair guide...I see that it is the idle adjustment cable with the screw on the end. That came out of where? That is the question where did it come from, is this something i am going to have to take alot of parts off to get to the place it belongs? I would like to try to fix it myself, before giving up and sending it to a mechanic. (there where to pieces still on the screw, which is a spring and a washer) ,Should be able to just screw it back in... if memory serves. Basically the idle adjuster just holds the needle part way open allowing some air to move through and let the engine idle. A couple of pictures would go a long way towards helping you.,,,

Adjust the carburator on a Poulan 365 Pro chainsaw?

A good starting point would be about 1 to 11/4 turns out from the screws turn all the way in. Take note of the turns required on each screw to turn in (clockwise) This does not apply to the idle adjustment screw.

I cannot move the adjustment knobs on the windage and elevation of the scope

Some time the screw is a set screw and needs to be loosened to adjust the valve. Others are adjusted by the screw. Either way you might need a larger driver the break the tension on the screw. Factory set it can be tight.

How do you adjust the fuel air ratio on a 2005 nissian sentra

im not a pro but most cars now days are preset and the adjustment screws are covered and have to be drilled out, so they are tamper proof and only pro's know where to drill,, the old stuff 70's and 80's screws were in plain sight

Hello I'm fixing my poulan pro ppb200 gas

My service center told me that they are allowed only 2 of these adjuster per year. It has to do with the air quality issue. They don't want back-yard fixer-uppers to pollute the place up. True store - I could not believe it.

The BLUE wire-splice connector, the one that you crimp after you put a wire in each end, is supposed to fit snug around those screws and allow you to adjust them. However I could not get it to work.

If you take a hack saw and cut the lip from around the adjuster screws and then cut a slot in the adjuster screws themselves, you will be able to set those screws with a flat-head screwdriver.

The whole operation takes about 9 pushes of the hacksaw. The lip is aluminum and the set screws are a very soft steel.

Good luck

Carb rpl and adjustment

you have 2 screws marked H and L. With the engine running, turn the L (low) screw for best idle. Then for the H (high) screw, Hold at full throttle, turn screw, and listen for smothest and fastest revs.

Poulan Pro 295 won't keep running.

pull the black dust cap on top there are three screws going down, the idle screw is on the left side (if you were holding the saw) near the top of the carb it has a spring around it. the 2 weird screws under that are the mixture screws hi and low rpm you really shouldn't mess with those unless your sure of what your doing. if that doesn't work there is a really small hole ( and I mean small) in the bottom of the carb for a diaphragm if that gets clogged it runs bad, also vibration can loosen the cylinder bolt turn the saw upside down and there are (or should be 4 bolts) make sure they are tight if one already rattled out take the one kitty corner to Lowe's or a hardware store and get a replacement.

How to adjust Zama carb on poulan pro

You will find a Low and High adjustment screw. At idle turn the screw in or clockwise until the rps starts to decrease. Then start turning it out till you hit max idle rpms. Turn screw back in a quarter to half turn and it should be idling smoothly. Be careful here and get someone to hold saw if necessary but hold in throttle to full speed and do the same with high adjustment screw. turn it in till rpm starts to drop then back it out until you get to max rpm and it won't go any higher then turn it back in a half a turn.
