So I removed the stator and took it in to get a replacement. The shop tested it or me and found everything in working order. I have done the tests for the regulator/rectifier and it seems to be good. My manual tells me that the only way to test the rotors is to swap them out with new ones. should I not be able to tell if these rotors are magnetized without swapping them? The rotors that I have currently are original to the bike and do not seem to have any magnetic charge at all. When I took the stator in I was shown used rotors that they would sell me as a replacement but these also had no magnetic field to them. How can I tell without shelling out $80 bucks for used rotors that may or may not be good? And am I even on the right track??? I'm still only pulling 13.5 volts out of the charging system and I need help. I looked at the microfiche for your bike. the rotors are only magnetic when the field coild is energized. You do not have a permanent magnet rotor. so no magnetism when unenergized is normal.,

Got a db50qt-16 directbikes it wont start off the electric start !

Hi, I would start by checking there is a click when the button is pressed, if that is ok then that means the starter relay is ok, then I would put some jump leads and use another battery, just to make shore your battery is discharging enough power, if it still doesn't work take out the starter motor and connect it to the battery just to see if it is ok

400 burgman wont start

Are you sure battery is ok, try connecting the battery to a car battery (still in car) and start it again. This happens when battery has charge but is too weak to deliver lots of power to starter motor.

I have no power charged battery was ok before now no power check the fuses there ok can you tell me why i have no power please

it seems that the battery is not charged or not connected. When you open any door the light inside must turn on. When not, the battery is not charged. Charge the battery and try again.
When the battery goes again out of the power, it indicate that the charging system or alternator are not working properly.
Start your vehicle turn the headlamps on and check the voltage on battery. It must be higher than the voltage when engine is off.
If the voltage with engine on is about 14,5 V charging and alternator are ok. Maybe the battery is dead.
When the voltage with engine on is higher than with engine off but not 14,5 V, there is problem with charging system. When the volage is the same, it can be alternator or charging system.

definatly check all the fuses. If they are ok check all the connestion blocks between the battery and the ignititio. If that dosent work check you have a solid connection for th negative. If all them are ok then it can only be the ignitition system or the battery

Battery light won't go out. volts after charge is 11.9. ?????

Sounds like you need a new battery . It is not 12 volts . Try hooking your bike up to another 12 volt battery( you can use jumper cables) Warning: It is OK to jump a motorcycle from a car battery even if the battery is still in the car. DO NOT HAVE THE CAR RUNNING. OK TO JUMP, IF THE CAR IS TURNED OFF!!! Do not crank your bike too long , you could over heat the starter. Anyway hook up your motorcycle to a good battery and start your motorcycle to see if the battery light goes out.

Fail to start

I think I would change the petrol in the tank as it may have become a bit stale. Also I would replace the battery.Make certain the replacement battery in fully charged before you try again.

Engine wont start on yamaha xt600 e turns a few times with starter motor the solenoid clicks. battery is ok.

are you sure batterys ok?....if so check all conections on battery & solenoid...i would look at the battery being knackerd....get it checked

I have vfr nc24 reg rec has fried dodgy battery the culp rit dodgy battery can i still ride to work without it on have charged battery up disconnected reg recterfier i know their will be no charging system...

the bike will run off the battery untill the battery runs out of power a short trip will be ok charge the battery at work and it should be ok for the way home take a spare battery with u just in case.good luck
