I have been told that there were 1700 Cannondale Motorcycles made total. Is this true and how many are still in use ? With the motor problems do you think it is 60-70% ? Does anyone know how many ATK bikes have been made each year since ? Is ATK still using the Cannondale design for 2009 models?

Jeeze its simple Deatons. When parts run out they get produced.Whether by ATKBlackwidowTimboCanniboomer, combination or whoever.Latest has been cases.Pistons, bearings, cranks, seals all come to mind as parts that ran out or were defective and have been replaced. As far as I know there is no shortage of frames and they arent defective so they arent being made yet.

Add the 5.3 quarts then start the engine. Let it run for about 2 or 3 minutes then shut it off. Let stand maybe 30 seconds to one minute then check it. I made the same mistake and was over filling. The 5.3 quarts should bring you to the normal level if you check it warm. Not to hot like after a ride. You will burn yourself on the dipstick. When the oil is cold and has been siting in the bike it will read very low on the stick.
from what little I know of this bike when this happened to me it was fault code (34) a little servo motor had striped its gear so was working but not opening the valve correctly
pop the cover off the HTEV make sure no dirt or debbris is obstructing the valve moving
as I said I no expert here just my bike did this and this was the result good luck
Hi, Mallymeades for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Talk to the Honda dealer, tell them you want the bike totalled by the insurance company. If they balk at it and you can afford it, have the bike towed to a different shop and go through them. Was the bike wreck your fault or did a cager get you? If the accident was not your fault, go after the other party's insurance. If this is your insurance, tell them you want it totalled. If they tell you that Honda can do this, explain to them why you want the bike totalled. You could do what I did when my Harley got run over; the frame was bent and the stealership told the lady's insurance (State Farm) they could rebuild the bike so State Farm was going to pay $9000 to fix the bike. I called State Farm and told them it needed to be totalled, they balked at first but then I told them, "When, not if, the bike fails on the interstate at 70mph and I am hospitalized, I will sue you and Southside Harley for everything you're worth because of your incompetence!"
They totalled my bike. I got a check for the value of the bike and bought another bike.
