000 miles on it now and I started losing clutch fluid recently. I'm not sure what I want to do to fix the problem. I see that AF1 has oem replacement slaves cylinder seals and the evoluzione slave. Anyone have the evoluzione slave? Worth the money or just replace the stock cylinder or seals? I had Evo slaves on both my Tuono and Falco. Better design than OEM. Bleed it once and the fluid will last a while. has 3 orings. OEM has one and the fluid goes black in about 5 minutes............ If money is tight, the rebuild is the way to go. The Evo is more than just bling though, it is a better design.,5'8 but left leg is 3 shorter than it used to be so thinking of lowering the bike to ease getting on and of it. I had realised that I would have to lower the front as well but was mainly wondering about the geometry on the back end and if it would still work correctly with the different linkages. ,It will still work, just not as well as with the right linkage. The spring rate will no doubt be wrong. Nothing major to worry about though imo... Not sure what others may think. 3 shorter, hows that if you dont mind my asking? Im only 5'6 tall, cant have both feet down flat but I have no major issues. ,

I have a 2000 mazda 323 with a manual transmission. i have already change the clutch kit but the gear is still hard to shift

Check the hydraulic clutch operation. This is a clutch master cylinder with a reservoir on the firewall, and a clutch slave cylinder down on the bell housing of the transmission, with a steel tube running from the master to the slave cylinder. When clutch pedal is depressed, hydraulic fluid (brake fluid) is forced from the master to the slave. The slave cylinder should push out a little plunger that contacts the clutch fork lever-pushing it forward to engage the clutch.
Add brake fluid to the reservoir if needed. Watch the plunger on the slave cylinder: if it moves little, or not enough, try bleeding the slave from the bleeder valve. They are bled just like brakes. If bleeding doesn't help, your clutch master or the slave may need replacing. The master cylinder, like a brake master, has internal seals that hold hydraulic pressure, so force can be applied to the plunger on the slave cylinder.

Where is the slave cylinder for the clutch located. internal or externaly.

First thing to do is to see if you have a clutch slave cylinder or cable operated clutch. Second the slave cylinder is on the end of the lever that goes into the clutch housing Before you change the clutch make sure that the problem is not in the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder or cable as the case may be.

Replace slave cylinder

okay, lets hope the clutch slave is installed correctly, is this slave internal or external. in other words can the clutch slave(the part that pushes clutch fork) be replaced with out pulling the transmission?
what year, make and model is this car? did you open the clutch line? how did you bleed the clutch?

How do you know if it is your clutch, clutch linkage, or clutch slave cylinder is the cause of vehicle non performance?

confirm if you have fluid leak from master or slave cylinder of if you have damp valve.try to bleed as it is to confirm the fault. If fault does not resolved then check as some times the cause is the damp valve does not allow fluid to flow through to slave cylinder. If your clutch master cylinder is ok, and the slave cylinder as well, start the bleeding by the damp valve which is on the mid way of master and salave cylinders. Then beed the slave cylinder for good clutch.

Clutch will allow me to turn the car on but I am unable the shift gears.

hi,
clutch slave hopefully. check clutch slave fluid, its next to the brake fluid reservoir. it takes brake fluid try bleeding the clutch slave. if it wont bleed then you will need a new clutch slave. If you get the new clutch slave and it still wont actuate correctly then its time for a new clutch. you may be able to shim the clutch slave pin with a small socket untill you get a new clutch but thats not recommended.

Having problems with the clutch in my 1998 Ford Ranger. There is no freeplay, and it is very difficult to shift. Do I need to adjust the clutch? If so, how do I adjust it?

The clutch is not adjustable,it is a fluid clutch. It has to be a leak,or the slave cylinder, and,or, the master cylinder are bad,It does not have to be leaking to be bad,but it is one of the two.Rate please, thank you.

Clutch pedal goes to floor

Its sounds like a bad clutch cylinder or bad slave cylinder or fluid leaking. First check brake fluid level in clutch master , and check for a leak in clutch system. If there are NO leaks, then you either have a bad clutch cylinder or a slave cylinder. Bleed clutch at bleeder screw on slave cylinder and make sure there is pressure from master cylinder. If there is pressure then slave cylinder may be bad replace slave and bleed and that should take care of you problem. If master is bad then replace bleed system ad you should be good. Contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA.

Not getting along with my new falco

but im not really feeling the love for it. the main problems i have at the moment are that the front and rear suspension are really soft its ruining my cornering confidence and making the bike uncomfortable to ride. im 20st and 6'5 so there is a lot of me to hustle about. the hagon shock that the previous owner put on there has not adjustment other then preload and im sure the spring rate is miles off what i would need whats a good replacement shock for a guy like me? also the clutch is very heavy with little progression its either on or off so im finding riding in town hard work as well as slipping the clutch in corners. lastly the fuel economy is pretty poor, i only got 93 miles before my low fuel warning light came on. so any suggestions? because at this rate im considering selling it to get something a bit more pedestrian for riding in london like a fazer 1000.,I wasn't feeling the love for my falco for awhile either. For reference, I'm 6'6 and about 250 lbs. Helibars are a must IMO. Also, my level of hate went waaaay down when I installed a smaller (-1) front sprocket. Being able to get the bike into corners at the right revs (and torque) reduced the amount of braking I did, which let the suspension settle down. Toss the stock shock. They're great bikes, you just have to get it set up for you. ,,,
