I did some research. i wanted to get rotella 15/40 synthetic but walmart did not have it. all they had was 5/40 synthetic. is this ok to use in the falco? have been using 10/40 synthetic spectro from dealer. Rotella is made for heavy duty diesel engines buy some for your PowerStroke Ford or Cummins Dodge. If you are hellbent to buy Shell products get the Advance VSX4 oil .....if you can find it.,,,

Yes ...I'm. Help I wrong I need oil change

Engine oil light could mean that your vehicle may need the oil changed. It also could mean that you are low on the amount of oil you have. May also mean that you have a low oil pressure. Could mean you might have a bad oil pressure sensor (if vehicle equipped).
First check to see if you have codes, if yes, post them and we can go from there.

Will the oil sensor switch shut the engine down

Well, yes and no.
If the red oil pressure light comes on, yes the engine could stop running. You could actually lose oil pressure, or the switch could fail.
A "change oil" notice would not cause the engine to stop.

Ryobi s430 starter cord won't pull, engine seized? Brand new, yes oil is in it!

This is a 2cycle engine. You need to mix oil with the fuel at the proper ratio.
The straight oil you put in it is to lubricate the chain, not the engine.

I changed my oil and my filter about two weeks ago since the day i did it the oil ligth on the dasboard remains on and the engine makes a weird noise i also replaced the oil presure switch and the problem...

YES YES WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS TAKE THE OIL SWITCH OUT AND PLUG IN AN OIL GAUGE OR TRY TAKING THE OIL FILTER OFF AND SEEING IF OIL COMES OUT. IF NOT FILL THE OIL FILTER WITH AS MUCH OIL AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE LOST PRIME ON THE OIL PUMP HOW MANY MILES DOES THE CAR HAVE.

I keep losing oil pressure in my 2004 f150 with a 4.6 litre. I have changed the filter and oil. What is the chance that the oil pump is bad? If so is it located inside the oil pan? Can I change the pump...

Ok 3 questions to answer:

1 yes the pump could be bad, but it is not likely.
2 yes it is in the oil pan.
3 yes you can change it without pulling the engine, though it is not easy.

Most common problem for your oil pressure reading to be going away, is the oil pressure sending unit(sensor) it is located next to the oil filter, check and replace if neccessary this sensor first and see if your oil pressure returns to normal. If not then you may have a pump problem. Hope this helps, let me know.

Synthtic oil

yes synthetic oil can be used in just about any vehicle. Older vehicles with high miles it is reccomended to use high milliage oil but you should be fine with synthetic oil just make sure to use a high millage filter. reason is that traditional filters only last 3000 miles but synthetic oil lasts 5-6000 miles. A high millage filter will last tha same as the oil.
