But can't find the thread I washed my 2000.5 Miller R fired it up let it run for a few minutes and put it away. No I am unable to start it. I hear a relay click when I turn the key on but no fuel pump whine... they low fuel lite popped on for a second when I cranked it. Does the kill switch disable the fuel pump but not the starter circuit ? Thanks in advance for a link to a applicable thread. No, it's not the kill switch, that would disable all of it. Check all the relays and connectors are clean and seated properly, check all fuses. There maybe just a bad connection in the fuel pump harness. On the right side under the seat panel there is a connector for the fuel pump leads, pull apart and feed power to the pump direct by connecting power direct from battery via a couple of wires, just insert into connector to make contact, make sure you have good contact, the pump harness wire colours are green/black = positive, blue wire is neutral, if the pump is ok you will hear it fire up and your problem is elsewhere, if not then there is a problem with either pump or the harness to it. There has been a few where the wires connected to pump have been dry soldered and making bad or intermittent connection. Check the earth connection is also clean and secure, you can see that more clearly by lifting the tank. ,,,

How do i fix my fuel supply on my motorcycle ,sound's like clicking noise from fuel pump, bike is running rough and cuts out; one header pipe is hot one is warm.

I think the answer is in your statement of one pipe hot and one warm
that means that one injector is working well or too well and the other is not working very well at all ( no fuel = no heat) have the injectors checked and reset
I would not consider the pump as it is working to supply fuel

93 fxsts isnt getting fuel due to fuel pump or carburator, how do u know

Hi there,

While you turn on ( not start yet) you will here the sound / noise of fuel pump. Or you can just remove fuel hose lead to your carbureter while turn on the ignition key just to whther your pump works. If there flow with pressure, your pump is work.

Note that the aging pump sometime will not able to deliver enough pressure/flow to carburater.

Took tank off and didn't mark hose know don't know they go

all main fuel lines should route to the fuel filter first. then to a "fuel pump" system, then up into the fuel rail or t-fitting. if you see a smaller extra hose coming off the tank that is just a purge vent tube overflow line. That should drain into another funnel like collecting device that will route to it so as to not drop onto the hot running engine. Follow the main line from the fuel selector on/off/res... there better only be one line... or that means you"ll have two fuel filter/ pump systems, i wouldn't want straight unfiltered fuel going directly into my carbs. (Plus that would mean your pump and main filter are in the tank) this could be a possibility!! Let me know if im wrong, call the dealer and ask, but this is 1993 technology not 2003 it should be very basic.

Fuel Pump(EFI)and lights non-functional, ignition o.k.

Check your relay for the fuel pump, make sure you are getting power to fuel pump connector (outside of tank). Check for fuel flow when pump is on, ( remove tank to fuel rail line from intake side)be carefull this results in a good fuel stream that may go everywhere. Oh yeah and no smoking. Hope this heps as it sounds like the pump is not getting poweror you have a blockage somewhere.

Universal fuel pump versus genuine fuel pump for BMW K100RT

without changing out your fuelline I would not reccomend to go for a higher pressure and flow.
About the fuelpump....sometimes going for the cheap option is in the longrun more expensive.
