But can't find the thread I washed my 2000.5 Miller R fired it up let it run for a few minutes and put it away. No I am unable to start it. I hear a relay click when I turn the key on but no fuel pump whine... they low fuel lite popped on for a second when I cranked it. Does the kill switch disable the fuel pump but not the starter circuit ? Thanks in advance for a link to a applicable thread. No, it's not the kill switch, that would disable all of it. Check all the relays and connectors are clean and seated properly, check all fuses. There maybe just a bad connection in the fuel pump harness. On the right side under the seat panel there is a connector for the fuel pump leads, pull apart and feed power to the pump direct by connecting power direct from battery via a couple of wires, just insert into connector to make contact, make sure you have good contact, the pump harness wire colours are green/black = positive, blue wire is neutral, if the pump is ok you will hear it fire up and your problem is elsewhere, if not then there is a problem with either pump or the harness to it. There has been a few where the wires connected to pump have been dry soldered and making bad or intermittent connection. Check the earth connection is also clean and secure, you can see that more clearly by lifting the tank. ,,,

try running power to the fuel pump before buying a new one. that way you'll know. But google in the key words: fuel pump fuse bmw. It really doesn't say what model bmw you have in the question.
