How can i fix the squeak on the clutch on 2007 crv

Most likely the it is a worn clutch. Replace it as soon as possible before the metal parts start to wear out which can be expensive to fix. All manual cars needs clutch replacement at some point.

Clutch plate location

Hi Timothy, The clutch plate is fitted between the gearbox and the engine. Adjustment is carried out by lengthening or shortening the push rod. Some manufactures have adjustments between the slave cylinder and the clutch folk (underneath the vehicle) while others have adjustments between the top of the clutch pedal and the master cylinder, and others require replacement of the rod with shorter or longer, depending if the clutch is engaging to low or too high. If the clutch is slipping it will probably be too late for adjustment and require replacement of the clutch plate and possibly the clutch cover (pressure plate) and maybe the thrust bearing, Regards John

How clutch replacement

disconnect battery, remove starte motor, remove drive shafts, support and remove cross member, remove clutch slave cylinder, remove bellhousing bolts and while suspending transmission remove and lower transmission.//remove preasure plate and clutch. Good idea to replace spigot bearing and throw out bearing while you do job. allow 4-5 hrs for r&r. Refit in reverse order.

Transmission slipping

This normally means your clutch is worn down and needs replacement. Much less likely is that the clutch pedal travel needs adjustment.

Replacement of the clutch requires removal of the gearbox and is much easier with a shop hoist. I'd recommend replacing the pressure plate assembly as well.

Hi i have a peugeot 406 2.0 hdi 1999, when i get in the car the clutch pedal is on the floor and i have to pump the pedal for a couple of minutes, then it is ok to drive. any ideas what is wrong with it?

The clutch acting system is hydraulical, (clutch hydraulic system).
Your clutch pedal master cylinder is weak, and needs to be replaced or repaired by gasket kit replacement. Also the clutch slave cylinder can be used, and needs to be repaired (by gasket kit replacement), or replaced. The clutch system must be bled after carrying out work on the hydraulic clutch mechanism.

We have a 1985 GMC 2500 pickup - we can not get the clutch to engage. What could be the problems?

Clutch could just need adjustment, or throw out bearing replacement or clutch replacement if no adjustment is left. consider the age and mileage if clutch has never been changed, would recomend it rather than throwing parts at it.

2000 Toyota Clutch replacement

Whenever you have additional floor mats in the vehicle, the clutch pedal does not go to the floor. This, in turn, prevents the clutch release mechanism from releasing the clutch disc fully from the flywheel. This causes premature clutch disc wear. I would agree that you need a clutch replacement.
The replacement is pretty straight forward, as long as your guy has the ability to support & hold the engine assembly while the transmission is removed.
No big mysteries on the clutch replacement.
