I am interested in buying a 6.5. I have seen some already and there is one which in a very condition and almost in the process of getting it but I am still I little bit insecure in relation to the spares parts fact since this bike is not made anymore and I will use it in a regular basis I wonder if is a good decision as such or better to buy another bike like a BMW 650?. Does anyone have any thoughts,It is true that Aprilia have stop making the bike however you can still get parts from Italy and some parts on the bike are the same spec as the Aprilia Pegaso which are easily available. I have had my bike 3yrs now and have only replaced the battery (which most bike shops will stock)the bike is very reliable and looks a lot better than the BMW F650. The bike is a pleasure to ride as i do ride everyday. ,,,

Turn signals not working

It sounds like the turn signal module is defective. Sometimes, one electronic part will have an affect on another part. You can either visit your local HD dealer and spend a couple of hundred dollars for them to troubleshoot the problem or you can visit and buy your own workshop service repair manual for about $30.

How do I change front fork seals on 1998 suzuki savage

Have a 2006 suzuki s40 formerly known as the Savage 650 one cylinder. I ordered parts and tools to change front fork seals from Suzuki and its been 6 months they are on backorder. I decided to go another route since I need my bike running to and fro work. I went on ebay and bought good used forks from a parted out 06 that had really low miles. Put these on and all is great. The forks were $150.00 but that is not bad considering I did not have to buy fork oil, seals, tools for the job. Just had to put that on. Right now there is a set for a very reasonable price. Good thing about the s40's or savages plenty of good used parts to fix and they are easy to work on. I did it so anyone can. If you have any further questions on this Suzuki let me know.

Been sitting for 6 months. put new spark plug in and cleaned out old gas. still having trouble starting

clean the carb as old fuel in them causes a build-up of residue in the jets. Be careful of the really small parts in it coz if you accidentally loose them you'll have to buy a whole new carb kit.

My k100rs is not working around 6 years the gasoline is stock my fuelpump is not work and the rubber dumper of the fuel pump is melt where can i buy the original or oem parts im here in the philippines

Hi, Hyundai98_3 for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

Call a Kawasaki dealer and give them the VIN (frame number). They can look it up and tell you exactly what you actually have.

Don't know what parts kit to buy. What is Honda code? and were do I find it for specific bike

Honda uses both a Part Number system and a Honda Code to identify parts. The Part Number is in alpha-numeric form which includes a three digit 'middle number' that indicates which model the part fits (parts with a center number of "369" means that the part fits a Honda CB400F). Aside from the part number, each part is also identified by a 6-digit, numeric, Honda Code. Any Honda motorcycle dealer should have the appropriate parts breakdown on microfiche for your bike - which will enable you to identify the parts that you need.

Need procedure for changing oil on stratoliner

The proper instructions are on pages 6-10 thru 6-12 of the owners manaul. If you don not have a copy you can view one here.

Here is a list of oil filters which will fit the 'liners, besides the OEM filter:
This info was on the forum some time back, filters for Liners:
  • Amsoil ……………………… (SMF103) chrome (SMF103C)
  • Bosch ……………………… (3300) (3330) (3323)
  • Mobil One…………………… M108
  • BOSCH……………………….3300 3323
  • K&N…………………………….KN-303
  • NAPA GOLD……………...1358
  • PUROLATOR……………….ML16817
  • Purolator PureONE.....PL14612 Buy @ 2/$5.88
  • Purolator PureOne......PL14610 Buy @ 2/$5.88
The 14612 is the short filter. The longer one, which also fits the Liner, is the 14610 model (in case it matters).
  • STP…………………………...SDF13
  • WIX…………………………..51358
  • FRAM………………………...6017A
  • HASTINGS…………………LF-113
  • HI FLO………………………HF-303
  • EMGO……………………….10-82220
  • PER-FORM…………………J-503
  • Super Tech………………..ST7317 (Wal-Mart)
The Wal-Mart ST 6607 is a little smaller than the stock filter and the 7317 is maybe a half inch longer. Both will work fine.

You will want to change the crush washers on the plugs.
The crush washers can be obtained at your nearest Yamaha dealer, or similar washers can be obtained at Advanced Auto. The size is 1/2 (or M14) called oversize, crush washers.
Oil-tite part #65310
They come in a 3 pack.
