There might be something that sorta seems to match up but I would be wary about Fram filters.....every thing I have read about them in recent years has not been complimentary for example: ,

Why am I blowing oil filters apart on 350 quad

I'm not familiar with off road rec. vehicles, but any four stoke engine with an oil filter has a by pass valve to allow the oil to flow around the filter if the filter becomes clogged or is too thick to pass through... Some valves are built into the filter itself others are part of the mounting port for the filter. Are you using the correct filter..check your engine specs and then the specs for the filter you are using. Most companies have a website that gives specs on their filters.. Fram, k&N ..specifically. check your oil weight. Hope this helps.

White smoke Audi 2.0 non turbo is this connected to excessive oil consumption is a 60k mile engine A4 reg 2001.

White smoke is usually coolant burning, but you say no loss of coolant, so must be oil burning. PCV is possible fault, especially since you say smoke is intermittent. Part itself should be cheap, less than $20. One your car I believe it is located in a pipe running from intake to valve cover.

Which engine oil filter to use on the 5.3 litre truck engine?

I'd recommend the fram ph3675 for your vehicle, they're generally under 5 bucks, have an anti drain back valve and are great protection when you change your motor oil every 3k miles

Just bought a 1998 honda prelude 2.2l auto and would like to find out what is the recommended weight of oil

personally,i prefer castrol 30 weight with a fram oil filter.castrol oil is non detergent,no sludgy build up in valve covers after years of use. fram filters do not break down or fold up under pressure.been doing this for 20 years and no problems with oil or filters summer time you can move up to 40 weight oil no problem! in winter 30 weight so the oil will not be so heavy!good luck!thank you for choosing

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango 4.7. About 3 months ago I replaced the oil pump, but believe it was the oil pick up valve that was the problem. 2 days ago, the engine began knocking loudly the entire time it...

Try using a MOPAR oil filter...These cheap after market filters are allowing the oil to drip down into the pan and there is none in the top of the motor on cold starts.

What type of oil filter does my suzuki intruder 1500 use?

All VL 1500s use a spin on type oil filter (just like the ones used on most cars). The filter is located on the front of the engine right between the lower oil cooler lines. Just follow the lines from the cooler to the engine and you'll see it. You will probably have to go to a cycle shop or order it on-line to get one though. Although your local auto parts store might be able to order you one as well.
The FRAM part # is PH 6018. If your local parts store doesn't carry FRAM filters they can cross reference the number or should be able to look it up for you.

Good Luck.

I have a 2000 jimmy and a lifter is knocking in it it had been running fine but i crancked it up and it started knocking what do i need to do on replacing it are what thanks gary

Change the oil filter, install a manufacture filter like ac/delco or other proven brand.

The anti-drain back valve built into oil filters is known to cause engine
noises after startup due to oil starvation because the oil drained out of the filter when the engine was shut off. This is not suppose to happen. It can take up to two minutes for the oil pump to fill all the oil channels in the engine as a result of the oil filter being drained of oil. The anti-drain back design of modern oil filters has been around for many years and is generally not a problem for most cars, but it rears it's ulgy head from time to time. This start-up oil starvation is a 'known' problem related to oil filters and some truck engines.

The only two oil filters that I can think of that cause this problem are Fram and Penzoil filters, but I'm sure there are several others. The anti-drain valve simply does not retain the oil after the engine is shut off, as it should. In other words, the oil filter must be full of oil at all times, engine running and engine off. I believe Wix and ac/delco and several others are recommended for their superior design or construction and this is your best bet to approach this problem. I'm not knocking Fram for the average car but if you are having startup oil starvation noises, that is the first thing to look for. Also be sure you are running the correct SAE weight oil for your vehicle for the anti-drain back valve to be effective. You could also look for an additive meant to clean the lifters.

Santa Fe 2003 give more engine noice for the first start

I would check the oil just to be sure its not low on oil. Some cars will make a little noise when they are cold because the oil is not circulating and thick as when the car gets warmed up. Check the oil and let me know.

You need 4,6 qts of 5W-20 motor oil. If I were you I'd start right now to use synthetic oil. If you decide to do it - go with "The First in Synthetics" and the best: Amsoil! 5W-20 XL motor oil gives you (guaranteed) protection for 7.500 miles. (Do not fall for warranty cancellations or similar dealership spam. Magnuson-Moss act prohibts cancellations based on brand). Read this: or this: and try to avoid Fram filters. It seems that any other filter is better than Fram. I'd recommend Amsoil, Wix, Carquest (made by Wix), Mobil...
