You will need to put a good fire extinguisher where it is real handy because the things you are doing can spark backfire and burn. Check the oil level and if it is low add some. If it, the oil, looks white or funny colored. Drain it and put in fresh. If it's full and looks OK, don't worry about it. We will change it once we get the engine started,,,

Loss of power pulling away in first gear. have to rev nuts off it. any ideas?

Howdy: It sounds like the 1/3 of the needle jet is not working . Could be clogged. If the bike run good in 3/4 to full throttle then for syre it's the jet. Does it idle? Was the bike not ridden for a long peroid? Also check the input air! Need a little more info. Did this problem start all at once or slowly get worse? Doug

Spark plugs changed and bike will not start.

Sounds like you still have some wires crossed up somewhere. Should be 2 from one coil on 1 and 4, and the 2 from the other coil should be 2 and 3.

Help with my aprilia AF1 125?

Congratulations. You have just purchased a very high performance 2 stroke 125cc from a very talented Italian manufacturer. A two stroke engine needs 2T oil to be mixed with the fuel before it is fed into the engine. This is a cumbersome job and one has to get the ratio just right. So in order to make the job easier you have two tanks. 1) The regular fuel tank & 2) A small capacity 2T oil tank (made of plastic mostly) which is hidden behind a side panel. In order to give a regular dose of 2T oil there is a tiny oil pump attached to the side of the engine. This oil pump has to be actuated simultaneously when the carb slide is actuated. Hence the banjo. So now you know why the throttle cable splits into 2. One goes to the carburator and other to the oil pump. Good luck and enjoy your bike sensibly.,,,
