Got my side stand switch fixed and took her out for a spin and had yet another problem. When im riding it and take off it kinda sputters unless i crack it all the way open and then it runs out great. It seems that the problem is is just like at half throttle taking offit just sputters. A ny suggestins? The bike had sat for about six months before i got it. also VR 2000 Enduro Your carbs are clogged somewhere because the gas sat so long -- it turns to varnish over time and it likely has clogged your low-speed jets. (When you crack it open it's on the main jet and gets enough fuel.) You should get a product called SeaFoam, which can help clear carbs. If that doesn't work, you'll need to take the carbs apart and clean out the little passages. ,,,

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Throttle cables misaligned or misrouted.
2. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
3. Inlet system air leak.
4. Vacuum piston malfunction.
5. Accelerator pump leaking or no output.
6. Plugged bowl vent.
7. Fuel level in bowl too low.
8. Restricted fuel supply passages.
9. Plugged jets or passages.
10. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
12. The enricher valve not seated or leaking.

'bogging' down in low gear

your carbs will need a good service ,pinning the throttle wide open wont help either ,so open throttle slowly. I expect your needle valve in the carb has gone oval ,it should be round allso check the needle condition no scores, but first clean and adjust your pilot screw, best thing is to get a haynes manual to find the proper setting for it,but quite simple to do.

Engine bogs big puffs of white smoke from front

the engine will bog because the cutting blades are either cutting to much grass or the blades are touching the ground making it hard to keep rpm's then it will smoke a bit

Bogging down when under medium throttle

Hi,
Have you had the Catalytic converter checked? it could be due for replacement as they break down and cause tremendous back pressure.
Hope this Fixya's problem!
