I have two questions 2001 ford Crown Vic LS, Codes read: (p0720 output speed sensor circuit), & (p1131 lack of heated oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1 switch indicates lean)........Keep in mined that I just swapped engines, from a 2001 police interceptor, to this Crown Vic LS "it's my first time, I am manically inclined but just never did a job this intensive, the LS engine blew so I had a totaled interceptor with good engine,... so hints the swap.... Can You Help with any answers on the codes??

The PCM is programed for the LS engine parameters and now that you have changed engines the signal from the new engine are out of parameters> Either see if you can get the PCM reprogrammed at a dealership or purchase a new PCM and program the chip with the police engine interceptor to the vehicle> you may also return to the place where you got the engine and purchase the PCM for the police vehicle.

SOURCE: Ford Windstar 1996 Trouble Codes P0171, P0141, P0161, and P0174

Bank one is toward the front of the vehicle. Sounds like the heated oxygen sensors have gone bad. The Oxygen Sensors are located in the exhaust pipe and require a special socket to remove and replace.

SOURCE: TOO LEAN CODES

I had the same problem - different vehicle - made almost the same repairs you did. Turns out is was an air leak in the throttle body. You might check there.

P.S. a quick check was to spray carburetor cleaner around the effected area - it immediately fixed the issue. Could also be intake manifold leaking.

SOURCE: Hi, I'm getting codes 136

I wouldn't worry about the 02 code it will clear when you replace the coils. to be positive that the coils are bad, swap them with another cylinder and see if that cylinder misfires. 90% of the time it's the coil. Let me know

I have a 1997 ford expedition with a 5.4 liter and i just hooked it up 2 a trouble shooter and it gave me the codes 1131 and 1132 and I need 2 no what those codes r please..

P1131 Lack Of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO 2 S 11) Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean (Bank #1)
P1132 Lack Of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO 2 S 11) Switch, Sensor Indicates Rich (Bank#1)

Check connector and wiring on your sensor. Upstream bank 1 sensor is on passenger side at the bottom of the exhaust manifold. If it looks good, the sensor may have failed internally.
