There are two connections on the carb, one is connected to the suction side of the primer bulb, the other to the fuel pick up pipe in the tank, the idea is the primer pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb and back into the tank, if the pipes to and from the primer are fitted round the wrong way it will try to push fuel into the carb and make it flood, so check the suction side of the primer is connected to the carb, and the tressure side is back to the tank.

Pumping psi into gastank not priming carb

Fuel filter may be plugged. Pumping up a fuel tank will cause damage to the fuel pump diaphragm , the gas tank itself. Priming the carb is done by pouring gasoline in the vent hole of the float chamber.

There is a vent in the tank, it is situated on the right hand side of the tank, close to where the fuel hose exits the tank, the early vent looks like a round white pellet, the later vent is a white plug with a nipple on the top, the later vent will just pull out with long nose pliers, the early vent has to be extracted useing a self tapping screw, this of course will destroy the vent.

No gas to carb

There should not be a vent hose--it probably goes to a port on the primer bulb. Check the fuel filter for plugging and the condition of all fuel lines (they should be original rubber, not plastic replacements). Try priming the carburetor with the bulb pump--it should pull fuel into the bulb after several pushes. If nothing, check the condition of the primer bulb--it should be soft without cracks or holes. The primer is supposed to pull fuel from the tank's fuel filter, into the carburetor top section, pass into the lower section through the metering valve which is controlled by the diaphragm, then out to the input port of the primer and out the other primer port to return fuel to the tank. Go to: http://www.drystacked.com for an excellent 12 page article on theory and troubleshooting of Walbro carburetors. Hope this helps!

Poulan 2150 w/ walbro wt324 carb fuel line reassembly

the fule line that comes from the filter/ pick up will go straight to the nipple usualy the one closest to the middle of the carby.
the other hose comes from the carby to the in or **** side( punp it you can feel it)of the primer and then goes to the tank that is the return/ prime, nothing is conected to it in the tank. if you have the carby one the wrong way around it will not prime. just swap them over..
