My peugeot satelis 125 wont start

I came off my bike and it started run for a couple of mile turned it off and now it wont start again any ideas plss baterry fine so is immobliser

First check the battery to see its still fully charged. If it is do a voltage drop test between the battery and the starter to check for a bad relay or open circuit. If that checks out, you very likely have a bad starter/solenoid. I can explain how to do these tests if u need me to

aside from your air filter bein spotless and running the best possible tranny oil u need to take your carb off and clean out the jets, slide, float needle and the cylinder it slide up n down in, and the float bowl. also clean out the air boot and air box. if needed, a simple $115 self done top end job might be nececary, remember u have a 125 2 stroke, the most simplest of all man made machines, take advantage of such simplicity my man good luck

It sounds like the choke line may not have been routed correctly when the new one was installed. Remove the gas tank and check to see that the line is not being stretched anywhere along the way AND that the gas tank when re-installed is not stretching the line. The line may have been kinked when installed. Look at the mechanical movement of the choke at the carb. Does it operate freely? Remove the air filter and look inside the center of the carb, (you may need to use a small mirror for this), does it look like the choke is opening and closing properly when the choke is moved on and off?

Ck fuses and wire connections first. If no problem seen, get bike running and disconnect the ground cable @ battery. If bike dies the problem generally is in the stator or regulator assembly not keeping battery charged. Bike will run untill the battery is too low to keep the ignition system energized and the bike will die. If it continues running w/the ground disconnected, the battery could have a dead cell which will drain the battery in a very short time whether it is running or not.

You can accidentally UNPLUG the tip sensor if you remove/jar the front fairing. Verify that it is plugged in. If you uninstalled the tip sensor, make sure it is installed in the correct position. Here's the service manual next steps after that check: First thing the SM states when you turn the key and get no fuel pump "noise" is to inspect the fuel pump by measuring the voltage between the terminals. If there is battery voltage, check the main fuse (20A), sub fuse (10A), engine stop switch, fuel cutoff relay (relay box under left middle cowl), engine stop relay, bank angle sensor, and finally, ECM.

My 125 Satelis ran well and suddenly stopped and will not fire


Hi, John and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Fuel supply valve/petcock turned off.
3. Fouled spark plugs.
4. Engine flooded as a result of overuse of the enricher.
5. Vacuum hose to the fuel supply valve/petcock disconnected, broken, cracked, or pinched.
6. Fuel valve/petcock or filter clogged.
7. Severely discharged or damaged battery, you need 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
8. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
9. Loose or corroded wire connection at the coil, battery or plug between ignition sensor and module.
10.. Spark plug cables in bad condition and shorting, cable connections loose, or connected to the wrong cylinders.
11. Ignition timing incorrect due to a faulty ignition coil, ignition module or sensors (MAP, CMP, CKP, O2, TPS, ETP, IAC,or BAS).
12. Faulty neutral, clutch lever, or kickstand safety switch.
13. Faulty fuel pump fuse or relay.
14. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
15. Security system not disarming alarm needs a reset.

My peugeot satelis 125 has a small amout of oil leaking from the drain plug bolt, I would really like to try and fix this myself how would i go about doing that?


Find a piece of cheap string like kite string or package string. Not cord, it has to be string. Loosen the drain plug. Wind several turns of the string around the plug. Tighten the plug. This method is nice because you don' have to drain the oil. Good luck!

Hi folks, Was caught out in very heavy rain with my CG 125 and after 15 mins the bike started to backfire and a few minutes later cut out completely, after standing still for a little while it started...


you have water in your electrical system ..the coils on cg are well known fro small cracks ..get a new one fit it should be ok /.....also spray wd40 on all electricals every couple of weeks especially under the tank

Fuel problem first...have you any fuel in the tank? Silly question, but has to be considered. Is it fresh petrol?
Check spark plug, clean if possible, and check for sparks.
Check kill-switch too, along with side stand...is it up? The switch may be mucky so you could try cleaning it. Hope this helps.

My cousin rode my yz 125 down the block without pulling the choke up it cut off on him up the block he came back with the bike i tried to start it up and the engine wont begin to run at all this was the...


I don't think running the choke n had anything to do with the bike not starting again. I catch myself miles from home and find the choke still on. Just makes it run a little rich. If anything I would check the plug(s), they might have been fouled by the choke, just clean them up and see what happens. Check it out.

Bike wont run for more than 5 secs and thats when it does start


Not sure but it sounds like it's running too rich a mixture and/or your float levels are not adjusted properly. When you stopped the excess fuel has gone into the bore not burned which will wet your spark plug making it very difficult to start. Depending on the colour of the smoke it could also indicate that your mixture is too rich. For extra power you need more air not necessarily more fuel. I hope that helps you. Again not sure but sounds like that is your problem. :)

last time i encountered this problem i found it was contaminated fuel and had water in the tank try removing the tank and starting again with fresh fuel
