SOURCE: I have error codes on 2006 HD street bob. Bike will not start.

The codes are the following depending on your bike (EFI or Carb).:

P0373 CKP Sensor Intermittent Carb
P0373 CKP Sensor Intermittent EFI
P0374 CKP Sensor Not Detected Carb
P0374 CKP Sensor Synch Error EFI
U1255 Missing Message at Speedometer EFI
U1255 Serial Data Error/Missing Message EFI

this could be a number of potential things or maybe just a loose connection or ground somewhere. you are probably best to go to a shop, sorry.

SOURCE: can i change exhaust on 09 dyna street bob to

On the '09 bikes, you can't change anything wihout messing up the computer so I'm told. I don't work on the computer controlled bikes because of this. So, basically I only work on the older bikes, 2000 and before. Just go to your local Harley shop or independent dealer and talk to them. But my dyno guy says that the only way around the factory computer is something like a Power Commander or other "break out box".

SOURCE: I need the wiring order at the tail light socket

I don't have a schematic for a bike this new but usually Harley uses a red wire for the stop light and a green wire for the tail light.

It's easy to figure out. Turn on your ignition switch and depress the rear brake with a test light connected to the red wire. If the test light lights up, that the brake light, if not, try the green wire. One of them should light up when you depress the brake.

Once the wires plug into the plug at the tail light, they both turn to black wires. The turn signal wires are violet (left) and brown (right). Running lights are probably green as well.

This is just a best guess. Harley usually doesn't change much stuff from year to year but electrical wiring is one thing that does change.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

2007 dyna street bob will not turn over after warm up

Are the lights coming on? If not, check battery and battery connections for tightness. If lights are on, then I would check all fuses. Have you accidently hit the run/stop switch getting on bike?

2010 dyna street bob wont start but will crank over

First determine if you have spark. Pull a plug wire off and insert a spark plug in the wire. Lay it so it touches the engine. Crank the engine and see if there is a spark. If not you have a problem with the ignition system.

If you have spark but it won't start you may not be getting fuel to the engine. I have not worked on a 2010 but I suspect the gas tank has a valve that is actuated by the engine. No engine RPMS to create a vacuum, the valve stays shut. When the engine fires, the vacuum opens the valve and lets fuel flow. Once in awhile the diaphragm in that valve fails so the valve cannot open, no gas, no start.

Try the spark test first in an attempt to learn more. Then address the fuel issue if that proves not to be the problem.
