Drain off the old fuel from the carbs , carb drain screw is on the botton of the float bowl. fill with good fuel and try again.

If no check for spark remove plug fit to coil rest against the head and turn over. Does it spark?

SOURCE: fuel starvation

There are three things all at the same time the bike needs to run:
1.Fuel
2.Compression
3.Spark

If you use starting fluid into the intake, and it continues the same, then fuel is not the problem

Use a compression tester to see if the pistons come to spec

Check the spark plugs, maybe try changing them with hotter plugs or just new ones. Also check the coils and stator for proper ohms.

You might see a little compression loss by a cam being out of timing, so you might check to see that your cams are timed right.

SOURCE: bike left standing for 6 months won't start

Hi, Sitting not good ! That is why the petcock has an off position. Spray some starter fluid or some fuel in the carb intakes and see if cranks, If it does, the carbs have to be disassembled and cleaned. Good Luck to you!

SOURCE: bike has been standing for 3/4 months started

Start the bike till running temp is reached .while the engine is hot ,change the oil and filter.take great care not to burn yourself .When the engine is hot you will find the oil drains away much faster and all the old stale oil will drain out of the engine & gearbox & clutch ..Once you have replaced the old oil with new oil and filter .this should cure the problem of stiff gears .

Bike dont want to start got spark and feul benstanding for 5months now

Todays fuel is so full of crap that if left standing for any length of time will gunge up carb jets. The only solution I\'m sorry to say will be a full strip and clean of the fuel system & carbs. If you don\'t know what you are doing get someone who does. Stripping a carb is no job for the uninitiated.

Modle not listed Honda Vision nfme 50 I have had My honda Vision 1986 model for around 18 month. It flew its last mot around 12 month ago. However About 4 month ago returning from work on my scooter...

Its either not getting fuel, poss blocked mainjet, or float needle valve, do you have a constant flow of fuel from the tank, is the bike smoking exsessivly, sounding quieter than it used to do? Maybe the exhaust has become blocked, this was a common factor on this bike, remove exhaust look up exhaust port towards piston, with the piston at the top clean the port with a sharp object scrapeing away all the unburned carbon, start bike up without exhaust and check how it runs,

I let my 07 suzuki sit for too long and now the bike will not stay or start. What could be the problems?

the carbs are bunged up with varnish off the petrol that was left in them when you layed the bike up on the bottom of the carbs is a small screw undo them to drain the carbs out and hope that new petrol getting to them will clean them so it will start if this dont work you will need to strip the float boles off and try to clean out the running jets with carb cleaner, you should never leave a bike with full carbs if your going to let it stand for months all ways turn off the fule and run them dry first,,, you may get away with filling all the carbs with carb cleaner and letting it stand for a day or so, this may clean out the jets but you will need to drain the carbs of carb cleaner and refill them with petrol before you try to start the bike up

Bit of a problem go get the bike running.

Can you confirm if the bike, once running, runs well below 3000rpm?

I've experienced this model not liking pilot jet usage due to an accumulation of fine particles in the fuel which build up and block the pilot jets.

Above about 3000rpm, it runs on mains jets.

If this is the problem, you can use a high quality fuel filter but it must be high flowing as this model drinks fuel.

Looking forward to your post.

Sputters past 1/4 idle no power

Put the bike on level ground, support on stands, switch off petrol and drain the carbs. Close the carbs and using the pipe from the tank (disconected) to the carbs fill with a quality carb cleaner and leave overnight. Drain the carbs, connect everything back up and start up. Try and get into the habit of switching off the petrol before you stop the engine, just to partially drain the carbs, esp'ly if you intend to leave for any period of time.
