you can but its not begginer type of stuff if the plug was the wrong heat range you more than likley got it to hotttttttttttttttttttt your going to have to replace the crank, rod, piston/rings. ect try hotrodsproducts.com and jepistons.com its not very hard but be sure to break the motor in and use the right spark plug.

SOURCE: need valve lash(clearance) settings for 1983

Inlet .0024 (two and a half thou.)
Exhaust .006" (six thou.)
(6) Set the valves:
Set the valves on the cylinder on the COMPRESSION stroke. Put the wring wrench on the locknut on top of the valve, and turn it anti-clockwise. It will be tight. Turn it about one quarter turn, and keep the wrench on it. Then, using the crescent wrench turn the square headed screw either in or out depending whether you need more or less clearance. We are talking about fractions of a turn here. Then lightly lock the locknut, holding the square headed screw with the crescent wrench so it doesn't move, and check the clearance. Repeat until it's exactly right. When it's exactly right, tighten the locknut. Recheck.
(7) Rotate the engine one revolution exactly:
Shine the flashlight into either sparkplug hole and rotate the engine slowly so that the piston goes down once and comes back up. Stop when it's at Top Dead Centre.
(8) Now do the other cylinder:
Check the gap and set if necessary the other cylinder's valves
Repeat steps (5) and (6) for the other cylinder.
(9) Button it up:
Replace the valve adjustment covers, making sure to keep the gaskets or o-rings in place, the bike will have one or the other.
That's all there is to it!

How to derestrict a sukida 125t-18 scooter


Hi just food for thought,the old scooters used to have a washer in the top of the down pipe where the exourst gose into the cylinder head,or they stoped the carb from opening fully by restricting how fare the slide in the carb would open.

Were are my timeing marks i have a kx 125 2001 model are there marks to set up power valve


Piston at top dead center, align the marks on the power valve, once they are aligned, it should go together easily and work.

Why does my indicators only work when i turn the key, but when i start the bike up they stop working. i have put a new relay on but that havent helped


Spooky business... might have your voltage regulator checked. Indicators are pretty simple systems... especially on motorbikes.

Cannot get a swing arm for my kam 125. nobody have heard of it.

Truck cummings 9800 valve settings


On the Celect,you adjust valves & inj on same cyl.The mark A is now 1-6,B is 2-5, & C is 3-4.Valves are Int 0.014 & Exhaust is 0.027.The injector you hand tighten screw until injector plunger bottoms out.Back screw out 2 flats,ie turn corner of lock nut to align with the rivet in the rocker lever(pushtube side),then back out screw two "corners" then tighten the jam nut down.Adjust the Injector first,then the valves.
What is the CPL because it makes a different on injector setting.
CPLs 821,833,903,904,& 806 are 105 INLBS
CPLs 910,827,1185,1188,1210,1211,1256,&1280 are 90 INLBS
CPLs 1374,1380,1395,1405,& 1507 are 125 INLBS
On the STC,you adjust valves & inj on same cyl.The mark A is now 1-6,B is 2-5, & C is 3-4.Valves are Int 0.014 & Exhaust is 0.027.The injector you torque to specs to bottom injector plunger.Then tighten the jam nut down.Adjust the Injector first,then the valves.
On STC it would be greatly advised to run injector flush through the fuel system for an hour to clean carbon off injector tips to prevent plugging spray holes causing a missfire.Cummins sells it in a metal can & you sill need a return & suction line to hook up to engine(one at fuel inlet & one on fuel return) and run it out of the can.
Firing order is 1,5,3,6,2,4

How do i adjust the valves on a 05 klx 125


I'm not 100% sure on this particular bike, but most late model hi-perf japanese bikes have shim adjustment. You can tell if you take the tappet cover off & the cams run straight ontop of the valves, If it's shims, you need to turn the motor until the cam lobes (pointy parts) face as opposite to the valves as possible (usually upwards) so the valve is completely shut, then use feeler gauges to me asure the gap between the valve tip & the cam. The valve springs can be compressed slightly (carefully) to let the shim on top (or underneath) the bucket be removed & replaced with the right thickness to give factory specs. Sometimes one shim from one valve can be used to make another valve correct, leaving less shims to buy. If not shims, should have a simple screw & locknut adjuster, same setup, just measure between valve & rocker, adjust to factory specs (or slightly smaller for more go)

this should be the info your looking for.

remove timing cover, on the left cam sprocket(closer to inside of vehicle) you will see the letter (I)for intake and a notch above it on the valve cover align those marks.Next on the right cam sprocket you will see the letter (E) for exhaust and a notch above it on the valve cover align those marks.Last you have a notch on your crank sprocket, align that notch with the arrow just above it.Align all marks then turn belt to revolutions and see if marks are stilled aligned if not try again until you get it right.If so put everything back together and "happy driving!"
