Make sure you don't try to jump it off with a car. This will be too many cranking amps for the system and could fry the electrical components. i would try taking the battery off to charge it on a slow overnight charge then install and see if it cranks.
Rasputin is pretty dead on with what the problems could be.

You're most likely looking at a dead battery (try jump leads)

A bad starter relay (short out the terminals on top of the relay and see if it turns over)

Or a dead starter motor (service or replace or if it's sticking try rocking backwards and forwards in gear to unstick)

Hi Teresa thats ththhe sign of a battery going bad, how old is the battery? You might want to have it load tested so you can trouble shoot further, there could be more than 1 issue.

1998 Isuzu rodeo no meter lights and won't start

1998 rodeo
what lights, you wean the cluster warning lights are dead.
or the cluster park , illimunation lights are dead.
are parks working (outside)
are head lights bright? outside)
wont start, does that mean it wont CRANK?
that means the starter is silent or is just a click

nobody can answer (correctly) lacking those facts.

1: check all fuses.
2: head lights work if not battery terms are rusty clean them.?
3: key on.
4: CEL lamp must glow, (check engine light) if not fuses blown or battery is dead. for sure.
4: tune key to start, does starter spin crank shaft fast?
ill stop here. my wild guess is you will not get this far.

My s10 when turn key on it makes couple clicking sounds then everything goes dead. Tried few times an wont start what may be the problem

The "clicking" is usually the starter solenoid chattering. This can be caused by:
  1. Bad Starter Solenoid
  2. Bad Starter
  3. Weak battery not supplying enough current to engage starter.
Turn on the interior dome light. When you crank the engine, if the light dims slightly, the battery is probably OK. If it goes out, or blinks at the rate of the clicking noises, have the battery tested.

Turn key wont crank

Possible issues: too many to list

Do you hear a clicking sound when you turn the key to "START"? If so, I'd say your battery is dead.

Do any of your gauge lights, head lights, radio, etc. work just fine? If so, I'd guess you have a bad ignition, bad coil, or bad starter.

Likely issues:
Dead battery
Bad coil
Bad ignition switch
Bad starter

My 2006 buick lacrosse wont start radio and lights work but its not saying nothing when i try to crank it

Hello! Do you hear a click when the key is turned?...If no click is heard either the ignition key, the Crank relay, the starter, or the battery are suspect...Having lights and radio does not mean the battery is capable of running a starter motor......Put a meter on the battery...should read 12.5 volts...Turn key...Does voltage drop to 8 or 9 volts? Bad battery...If all is well with battery and connections to it...Check the starter fuse # 33 in the under hood fuse/relay box...If the fuse is good that click you should hear is from the Crank Relay in that box...If all of the above is OK connect your meter to the Purple wire that is connected to the starter motor...When the key is turned 12 volts must be on that wire...If there is the starter motor is defective...So, #1...Do you hear a click when key is turned...That would point at a bad starter or weak battery...#2...If you do not hear a click bad fuse #33, bad Crank Relay, bad ignition switch...#3...If fuse is good Bad Crank Relay or Ignition switch; Crank Relay is a low cost item ($10)...Replace Relay...Stop there and send a comment as to results...Guru...saailer

1994 jeep grand cherokee wont start

The click...click sound is telling you the battery is close to dead or the wires are corroded on the posts. I would put a new battery in and see if that solves your problem or go to a store like Auto-Zone and have them check out your battery and alternator. They also can read your on-board computer which may point you to something else that has failed.

It will not crank

On this vehicle, this could be a few things, and without the means to test them, might be hard to find. 1) Dead or low battery, does the instrument cluster come on when you turn the ignition on? if so then battery isnt dead. 2) when turning the key to start, do you hear any noise at all? a click maybe from the starter solenoid? if you hear a click each time you turn the key to start, it may be a bad starter or solenoid, if you dont hear a click, it could be a bad solenoid. 3) bad ignition switch, you can test this the easiest by removing the panel below the steering wheel to access the ignition harness, the starter wire on these older GM vehicles was either a yellow or a purple wire, quite thick, if you have a test light, probe the starter wire and turn the key to the start position, if your ignition switch is still good, the light will light up. 4) could also be the neutral safety switch, first try the force it a little harder into the park position and see if it starts, also try and start it in the neutral position as well (make sure you have the brake on!) if it starts in the neutral position, it could indicate a bad switch or slightly out of adjustment. this switch can be in 2 locations, either on the transmission, more common on front wheel drive, or attached to the lower end of the steering column under the dash, the connector on this switch could also be loose. 5) check under the hood near the battery positive connection and near the starter for burnt looking wires close to the connection, the section of wire will be a smaller diameter than the wire its connected too, this is called a fusible link, and is intended to act like a fuse, that isnt easily replaced without some wiring know how. if one of these has blown, its most likely a bad starter or solenoid as well. 6) last thing i could think of, if this car has a factory theft system (you can tell by looking at your key, below the head of your key will be a small black square with a small metal strip in the middle of it on each side if the key), check your instrument cluster when you turn the key on to see if the security light flashes, if the light flashes, that is the cause of your no crank, which means you will probable have to replace the ignition cylinder, as the connectors inside it have worn out and can no longer read the little black 'chip' on your key, which is actually a resistor, if the car doesnt see the correct resistor value on the key, it will not crank.

im sorry cant tell you exactly what the problem is without seeing it, but i hope i have given you some ideas.

Ignition

Sounds like the battery is dead, you have just enough power to have the lights come on, but no cranking of the starter. Try putting the battery on a trickle charger, or hook up jumper cables to another car which is running. Let it run with the jumper cables connected for two mintues before you try and start your car.
