1997 Kawasaki VN 1500 Vulcan Classic how to replace the front turn signals

The rubber was old and cracked on the front turn signals, I removed the headlight, unplugged the signals and broke them the rest of the way off. I want to know the easiest way to remove the fork covers so when I get new turn signals I can install them myself! Thanks in advance @

Hi, Paul for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Kawasaki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

SOURCE: remove a gas tank

there are 2 bolts at the front of the seat, takeoff the seat, unsrew the bolts. that is the only thing holding it on. push the tank forward a bit, then lift up. there are breather tubes under the tank. be careful, they are difficult to get back on depending on the length. there are 2 bolts at the front of the seat, takeoff the seat, unsrew the bolts. that is the only thing holding it on. push the tank forward a bit, then lift up. there are breather tubes under the tank. be careful, they are difficult to get back on depending on the length.

How do I change a front turn signal bulb in my 2002 Olds Silhoutte van?

You should see a large plastic wingnut holding the entire headlight assembly to the fender. Remove that and pull the headlight assembly straight out. Then you can access the turn signal bulb

I have a 2003 kawasaki vulcan classic 1600, the left rear turn signal was broke off. both front and rear turn signals quit working. I bought new signals for the rear, and both still dont work

Hi, Tom before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. Replacing headlight on 1989 Toyota

if the turn signal cover is loose, and you are not really sure and dont want to break yours, visit your local junk yard and try the exact same thing there. But you could always try a rag and a flat head screwdriver, use the rag to cover the screwdriver and gently pry the turn signal lens out from the back of the housing. Usually the rubber grommets have just gotten old with age and weather. have you tried removing your headlight? although rare, somethimes the headlights need to come out first with certain models.

How do you replace the front turn signal on a 2005 Buick Terraza?

Changing front, right turn signal on 2005 Buick Terraza: Open hood; when facing the front of vehicle, the right turn signal is on the passenger side (left). The headlight assembly needs to be removed to easily reach the turn signal. On my vehicle, there is a 10 mm screw on the left side. Remove it. There is L-shaped pin on the right side of the headlight assembly. Swing the pin counter-clockwise (to the left). Pull the pin straight up to remove. The headlight assembly is now loose, but there is a pin snapped in a socket on the back of the assembly that still holds the assembly. Pull the headlight assembly hard and straight to the front of the vehicle. When it snaps loose, the assembly is now held just by the rubber gasket surrounding the assembly. You need to gently work the right side of the gasket out of the grill cowling. The assembly should pull straight out. The wires are long enough to lay the headlight assembly in the engine compartment. Finally, the turn signal is now accessible. Twist the light holder counter-clockwise and pull out the light holder. Change the bulb. Do not punch your man-card for credit until you have successfully reinstalled the headlight assembly. It goes back in a little easier the second time. Once you have put the L-pin in place, the screw back, and successfully tested the lights, you can now punch your man-card.

I give the mechanical engineers and designers a D-minus instead of an F only because I was successful on the first try. No light bulb on anything commonly used by people should be this hard to figure out.

Need to replace Turn Signal Rubber. I cannot find anything on how to remove the Turn signals from the frame to get them where I can replace the Rubber Portins whice are Dry Rotted and Broken.

Okay, if I'm not mistaken, you have to remove the silver bar completely. On the underside of the bar should be a nut where the turn mounts to the bar. Just remove the nut and it should pop right off,

Signal bulb on 2003 buick regal

To change front turn signal –
open the hood; look in back of headlight; two white clips; pull straight up, and then whole headlight comes out including turn signal; it is all one unit; remove rubber cover, then you take bulb out of unit. Mechanism that bulb fits in will need to be turned clockwise (looking from the front) and pulled to get it out of the larger unit holding all lights. Be sure and put rubber cover back on before re-inserting the two white clips.
