SOURCE: 79 sportster left side upper motor mount bolt size

On the Ironhead Sportster, the top motor mount bolt that goes through the frame is usually a 1/2 inch bolt. I'd use a grade 8 fine thread bolt with a nylok nut on it. Make sure you "shim" the top motor mount to the frame with the appropiate amount of washers so as not to "torque" the frame. If you do, either the top motor mount or the tab on the frame will break from the torque and vibration.

SOURCE: i have a 03 honda

I'm sorry but I know absolutely nothing about your Sabre. If someone told you to drain the primary, they must have thought you were working on a Harley. On a Harley, you must drain the oil out of the primary so you can remove the outer primary cover to get to the starter jackshaft. It get an answer for your Honda question, you'd be better off to post that on the Honda board rather than the Harley forum. I'd tell you if I knew how but all my experience is with Harleys. Sorry.

Good Luck

SOURCE: The bolts that hold the voltage regulator have

On the older bikes, they were 1/4" X 20 X 1". The holes were clear drilled and they had nuts on the backside. I always put nylon lock nuts on the backside so they wouldn't vibrate off.

Good Luck

Alternator location on a 2010Toyota tundra

if you open the hood standing in the middle of truck, facing towards the windshield, split the motor in half, the alternator should be left of center of motor, it is round, it has a pulley it may have 1 or 2 belts or 1 serpentine belt, if it is a serpentine belt you are going to need a tool call serpentine belt tool kit, long bar with a socket on the bar, set of different sizes of sockets to fit the spring load device that hold the serpentine belt in place. on top of alternator is a wire connector with 2-3 wires that connect to the starter and battery, and bolt with connector for ground that is bolted on the back side of alternator, 2-3 bolts that hold the alternator in place, remove bolts, take it auto parts store have them test it before buying a new one.

How to remove a 2004 sunfire battery

I just pulled up a pic of the engine compartment and it looks like you should have a bolt on the bottom of the battery that holds a wedge in place to hold the battery. If it is this type the bolt size is about 1/4 inch or an 8 mm.

Change battery in Stratoliner

You didnt say if it is a cruiser or street so here is both:
  1. Cruiser
    • 1 Remove the seat from your motorcycle. Turn the key to the "On" position and hold it there as you lift up on the seat to unlock it.
    • 2 Put on the gloves and the safety glasses. Remove the plastic cover on the battery compartment.
    • 3 Detach the cables connected to the terminals on the top of the battery. You can pull the cables off by hand. Remove the negative (black) cable first, then the positive (red) cable. Cover the negative battery terminal with black electrical tape.
    • 4 Lift the battery out of the compartment. Be sure not to touch the terminals to any metal components of the frame or the seat.
    • 5 Position the new battery. Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then the negative cable.
    • 6 Reattach the seat.
    Street Bike
    • 1 Lift or remove the seat on your bike. Use the ignition key to unlock the mechanism holding the seat in place. Depending on the model, tilt the seat back or lift it completely off the bike.
    • 2 Locate the two anchor bolts on either side of the gas tank. Unscrew the bolts using an Allen wrench. Hold on to both the bolts and the bushings on the underside of the bolts. The bushings prevent your gas tank from rattling during operation.
    • 3 Tilt your gas tank up to reveal the battery compartment. It is necessary to prop up the gas tank or have a helper hold it for you as you work on the battery.
    • 4 Detach the cables connected to the battery terminals. Remove the negative (black) cable first, then the positive (red) cable. Cover the negative battery terminal with black electrical tape.
    • 5 Lift the battery out of the bike, being careful not to touch the terminals to any part of the motorcycle or your skin.
    • 6 Position the new battery in the bike. Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then the negative cable.
    • 7 Reposition the gas tank and secure it by tightening the bolts.
    • 8 Close or reattach the seat

I dropped the bolt that holds the battery in place. What is the size i need to get to replace the bolt.

The hold down bolt is an 8mm by 1.25 thread pitch. length of bolt would be between 24-36milimeters. the average 8.8 hardness is fine. there is not a lot of tension on it.
Good luck! Scott

How to change starter on 1994 corolla

The sizes given are the wrench sizes needed to perform the step.
1. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Remove the hose that connects the air cleaner to the throttle body.
3. Remove the top of the air cleaner box (4 clips on the corners).
4. Take out the air filter. Disconnect the sensor on the side of the air cleaner.
5. Remove the three bolts (2 - 12mm, 1 - 10mm) that hold the bottom of the air cleaner box to the inner fender and remove the box.
6. Disconnect the two rubber hoses on the top of the air canister (one large, one small).
7. Loosen the clamp bolt (10mm) (be careful as there is a non-captive nut that will drop if you remove the bolt completely) and slide the air canister out.
8. Remove the two bolts that hold the fuel filter on to its bracket (10mm). It is the same bracket as the air canister's.
9. Remove the air canister/fuel filter bracket by removing the four bolts that hold it in place (10mm).
10. Remove the wire harness/hose bracket directly in front of the top starter bolt (12mm) - this will facilitate your ability to get a socket wrench on the starter bolt. On my car it was RIGHT in the way!
11. Loosen the top starter bolt (14mm).
12. Loosen the bottom starter bolt (14mm) and remove it completely.
13. Hold the starter up and remove the top bolt completely. Flip the starter over and place it on the drive axle below with the wiring facing up.
14. Disconnect the solenoid plug and the starter cable (12mm).
15. Remove the starter by snaking it through the driver's side of the motor compartment. There's enough room if you're patient - be careful not to snag anything and damage it.
16. Snake the new starter down through the driver's side reverse of the way the old one came out. Lie it on the drive axle and connect the solenoid connector and the cable.
17. Flip it over and up into place. Hold it in place and start the top bolt. Tighten it by hand enough that the starter stays in place by itself.
18. Start the bottom bolt; tighten it up all the way.
19. Tighten the top bolt the rest of the way.
20. Connect the battery cable and try the starter - before you put everything back!
21. Replace canister/fuel filter bracket and bolt the fuel filter in place.
22. Slide the air canister in and tighten the clamp bolt. Connect the two rubber hoses on top of it.
23. Install the bottom of the air cleaner box; plug in the sensor.
24. Put in the air filter and then replace the top of the air cleaner.
25. Connect the big hose from the air cleaner to the throttle body.
NOTE: You may have to reset the "check engine" light when you're finished (I think starting the car when we check it in Step 20 can freak out the computer since there are still things disconnected). To do this, find the fuse block on the driver's side of the engine compartment; remove the 15A EFI fuse for 30 seconds. Put the fuse back in - the light should now be reset.
That's it! Shouldn't need another one for another 150,000 miles!

A helpful rating and an testimonial would be greatly appreciated if you are satisfied with my solution ...
