You first need to scan your Antilock Brake System (ABS) computer to retrieve the fault codes set by the system failure. The fault codes are needed to identify the correct diagnostic and service procedure to repair the broblem with your ABS system. It will do absolutely no good to reset the computer memory to turn the light out if the system failure is not properly diagnosed and repaired. This will only result in the light coming back on again.
Where is this connector to read the ABS computer and what connector is it? I have a Bluetooth OBDII for use by computer and Android phone for the dash, but there are no error codes and the device is not visible to the software. I am told I can insert a code to interogate all of the computers, but have not found that yet.
You have to use a jumper to diagnose. It shows how to diagnose ABS system in the chilton book. A mistake I made was not allowing the code to show up. This may take two to three minutes when the key is in the on position. The code should show up. There should be a reason why the light is on. Most of the time these codes are not seen becuase the correct tool or testing sequence or duration isn't practiced. I had my vehicle tested by several shops but none could see the ABS code with there tool. I tested mine using a jumper in the diagnostic plug and found the problem to be a bad relay. The relays are built into the module so the only way for to repair is finding a replacement module or remanufacturing it. Also the chilton book is for a 96 isuzu but diagnostics are the same as what I have found on the ABS system.

SOURCE: looking to buy a 1998 isuzu trooper but the check engine light is on. should i buy anyway
you can bring your vehicle to autozone or your local parts place for a "free" computer scan where you can then recieve the diagnostic trouble codes and address the issues at hand
SOURCE: 1996 Isuzu Trooper ABS and All Wheel Drive light on
Its a mechanical problem related to transmission. You should start from there.
SOURCE: check engine light on an isuzu trooper
Hi this code is not on the chart you should erase the code and see if it comes back and if it does then check if it's P0446 and not 445
SOURCE: I need to reset the
To reset the engine light you need an OBDII Reader or can have it done at an auto parts store.
$39 From Harbor Freight. They have retail stores in many areas or use the following: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94168
It plugs into the OBDII socket. It is under the dash next to the driver side door.
Select 'Erase' on the Reader menu and you are done.
Alternatively, you can disconnect the battery. This should wipe the OBD
memory. Unfortunately, it will also reset the clock, the radio presets,
and anything else in RAM in the car. Still, cheaper than going out and
buying an OBD reader. Let me know if you have any further questions.

SOURCE: how do i reset my timing beltwarning light after
You got to get it pluged into a diagnose computer to get it cleared this usually cost's more than replacing the belt. Your trooper is 1994 so best to take out the speedo and guages remove the bulb and keep a note of when its due the next one which is every 50,000 miles
