SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: amount of oil in forks

The forks have to be bled correctly, then oil filled to the correct level by oil level (height) measurement. You need the service manual for your model if you are not familiar with the procedure. Since you asked the "amount" instead of "level" in millimeters - I assume you need the manual.

SOURCE: front fork leaking oil from bottom of the seal.

This is one of the few things that I recommend you take to a shop - you need some very special tools and techniques to fix this problem. Sorry,

Oil level TDM 850 without oil level window

The tdm is a dry sump engine where the oil is in a tank under the seat and is pumped around the engine and returned to the tank by a scavenger pump in the bottom of the engine so a level window on the engine is not required

Oil sight glass misted up can not see oil level tdm 850

There is no easy fix, you need to remove the complete cover and clean it from the inside with a pipe cleaner or similar.
You can usually reuse the gasket.
If you rest the bike on its side you can leave the oil in, and it doesnt mess up the workshop floor.

2000 model tdm 850,the front fork wount pull out of the slider and all the internals are out of the fork

if everything is undone, including the damper rod bolt in the end of the fork and the seal retaining circlip is removed, then you basicly use the fork as a slide hammer to pull the seal out, as it should be the last thing holding them together.

I just bought a 1996 Yamaha TDM 850 but head race feels loose

You need to get your bikes front end off the ground .Once the weight is off the front wheel you can check to see if there is any movement from the bearings .They are tapered and can be adjusted .Or it my be a case that you need oil in the forks ..
