SOURCE: 2007 yz450f has a low rumble when clutch is out all the way

The bearing for the clutch outer drum may be worn. The adjustment on the handlebars is to set lever free play(about 1/2 inch) before the cable becomes tight and operates the clutch release inside. Make sure the outer drum cover is tight--check with the clutch lever to make sure the plate releases the disks and plates.

SOURCE: My 2003 yamaha yz450f will not start when it is

OK a cold starting YZ
yes you have nailed one cause but is unlikely if runs well until you switch off then cant restart but if you don't even get to ride for a while then I would not necesarily be re jeting but cleaning the jets and or replacing same size jets would be great place to start
the most common issue or maintenance is valve clearances and although they should not need to be adjusted to often they give you awefull starting problems if they are out of spec
and being the age of the bike I would consider getting leak down test done to varify the vales are in good shape and sealing well
Compression test of any use on your bike would be impossible as the auto decompression would hinder any results but if you could get past that issue then anything over 200 psi is good and will run fine on less but we all want the best so aim high I say

85 toyota pickup clutch wont engage

The gear box should be okay. Check the clutch-watch if the clutch fork on the bell housing moves when someone presses the clutch. If it doesn't move, the cable needs adjusting, or if hydraulic clutch diagnose the clutch master and slave cylinders. Either one should cause the clutch fork to move and engage the clutch.

02 envoy, 6 cyl, loud wooshing noise when engine is cold. fan clutch seems fully engaged. goes away when engine warms up. is this normal or does fan clutch need replaced

Fan clutches for Envoys and Trailblazer are a problem, they go out all the time.

However, it is normal for it to do this when cold, but will only stay engaged for maybe 15 seconds AFTER you've put it in gear and have started to drive. After this, it will disengage and allow the engine to warm up faster.

If you haven't already replaced the fan clutch once, you're lucky. 2002 is especially bad for the clutches, but all years don't last long. Mine lasted 90k which is pretty long.

Every time I put the bike in gear it dies, also when I do get the bike to stay running and in gear when I get it to a stop sign it dies. Please Please help me.

Your clutch plates have become stuck together. The clutch needs to be pulled apart, clutch plates cleaned, and put it all back together in EXACTLY(EXACTLY) the same order as it came apart. There is plenty of people that know how to do clutches.Hope this helps

2.0d x-type 2005 Est. Starting problems when engine is warm

Ok, time for car school. The vehicle is operated by the computer, every electrical concept that is. When the engine is cold, it starts fine because the computer has placed it in "cold start mode", putting more fuel into the engine than normally would until Once the engine is warmed up, a temperature sending unit or temp sensor tells the computer to change to normal run mode. IF said temp sensor is faulty and is not telling the computer to make said change, it stays in cold start mode, still dumping excess fuel in the engine that is now not required, cause it's warmed up. Like keeping the choke closed on older vehicles. Now I think you can answer your own question, when this no start action is happening after warm up and it always starts fine when cold, what's the first thing you check ? Right, the unsuspected temp sensor. Change that and no more start problem. Have a wonderful day. Glad I could be of service.

1997 Yamaha YZF 1000 clutch and/or transmission problem?

well this is something that is as you said " not normal" i would guess that clutch is smoked. after it warms up do a 3rd gear roll on at about 45 mph. if you drop the hammer and the motor revs and you don't go anywhere stop the ride and R&R your clutch
something else to make sure of is that you clutch fuild is good and has no air in the line
Good luck

Clutch slipping while cold, when warm/hot, it operates great.

I have a 2000 Vulcan Nomad FI & had a very similar problem. In fact, it's a very common problem with these bikes. I fixed it by replacing the Clutch Spring. (As Described here: http://www.gadgetjq.com/clutch_spring_replacement.htm

It cost me $40 and 3 hours of time with an impact wrench.
