If it is possible to start at all. Fresh fuel fresh engine oil good battery. You may have the following problems; Corroded and blocked carburetor fuel system, bad wire connections piston ring set up.... I hope it was kept indoors and the fuel was drained out before it was left sitting. Good luck, they are nice bikes.

Sure mirrors, nuts, bolts and screws. Maybe a fender and a bit of other stuff. But for the most part not much will match up and now you have this ugly monster in your garage and your next job is to figure out exactly how you are going to get rid of the da-- thing. Look a bit harder and get a match for your bike. Now you have something worthwhile.
A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

you want to check your stator bikes dont have altenators you can get the specific specs from your dealer and run a resitance test to see how many volts it is putting out but 9 out of ten times the stator has nothing to do with the rectifier going out expecialy with that old of a bike

Has the bike been stored for any long length of time?
old fuel in the carburetor will turn to a varnish like residue blocking the jets,or possibly water in the carburetor.

Testimonial: "The bike was not stored and was ridden regularly, but it still sounds like it could be the carburetor. Thanks for your insight."
