After my break light came on, I checked under the hood and i pulled out one of the fuses while the car was running, when i put the fuse back in, my engine light came and the brake light stayed on. The check engine light was a shock because I got service for that last year and the light stayed off until this event. Where do i check for brake fulid? Where is it located?
The brake fluid reservoir is on the drivers side of the engine back by the firewall. I believe the cap is yellow and should say brake fluid or DOT3 or something simular. Use only DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid from a sealed container.

thats why you have to remove the frame and for this you need an engine support and the average mechanic will charge you arround 100 bucks to do it

Try this, Since you are applying the hand brake. Manually pull up on the emergency pedal and see if the light goes out. If this does work then you could have one of several problems. but, I am thinking that you might be able to adjust the brake tensioner if this car has one.

make sure the button is working, it may need to be replaced. with your foot off the brake peddle, it is on upper part of brake peddle arm. when you let off brake peddle it pushes button in to shut lights off. it may just be stuck in, spray a little lubracant on it if it's stuck and push in manually several times to loosen.

if the orginal drums there might be a lip of rust and metal buildup that needs to be cleaned off. try also backing the adjuster off to allow the drum to go over the shoes, do the shoes look the same as the old ones, just more materal? Don't forget to adjust the shoes back to the drum so you gte a good pedal feel, and the rear brakes will work properly
