SOURCE: yz125 rear shock amount of oil on

The volume is less than about 1/2 quart - it's usually not measured going in since you fill the shock completely - there's no need to measure. Some guys assemble the entire shock, then fill with oil and cycle the shaft, then install the bladder cap last. My method is to install the shaft and seal head and the bladder, then put about 2 PSI in the bladder, then bleed through the compression cap. My method is a bit more complicated to explain, but it's effective at eliminating ALL the air from the oil and it keeps the bladder from being installed in a collapsed state.

As far as the nitrogen charge - 145PSI is stock. 130-160PSI is typical.

Gio/Orion 125cc. Why is stock rear shock leaking oil?

Hi, Ryanpilgram187 for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. I have a 19 89 Chevrolet Astro Van and Veterans Hospital (VA) installed a 2'' hitch, and a Swing Away for the Harmar AL301XL Fusion Lift exterior Platform. All this is for transporting my Permobil...

check with your local auto parts store. They should be able to get you a shock called a load leveler. It will be a shock that has a coil on it. I have installed several of these on astro and safari vans to help with trailer towing. I know Monroe makes these and are the better shock manufacturer in my opinion.

They will look simular like this

I have a 2003 flstci and I'm trying to adjust the rear shocks. Do I take the weight off the back tire or leave the weight on the back tire to adjust them.

The bike should have both wheels on the ground when you adjust the shocks. If you're adding weight to the bike, you can still adjust the shocks with the additional weight onboard but the adjuster will turn easier if the extra weight is not there.

What is the ride control warning for on a 2005 yukon xl denali

It is the air shocks suspension on the rear.
When weight is added to the rear of the vehicle the ride control pump pumps up the shocks.

I have a buick lesabre 2002 and my question is *is it normal that my rear air suspention is verry hard in whinter ???* if the car comes out from the heated garage it's OK but if it sits all night outside...

Yes this is normal. The oil in the shocks thickens just like motor oil, and their is not enough weight in the rear of the vehicle to give the shocks enough of a workout to heat up and loosen up

2005 harley police bike when I hit a bump in the road it feels like the shocks are bottoming out what could be the problem

The front forks can be stiffened by changing to a heavier weight fork oil. I run 30 weight oil in mine. Make sure you use fork oil because it has a special anti-foaming agent in it.

On the rear shocks, they're adjustable. Just turn the adjuster to put more pre-load on the springs. This requires a special shock adjuster tool.

Good Luck

The rear shock on my et4 scooter is very tight and when riding at the moment it is very bouncy and the back end swings

Sounds like it has burst a seal and leaked all of its oil out, is there still oil ont he suspension leg? I had this last year on my Yamaha Fino, it's very dangerous to continue riding on it!

Loosen rear plastics on the suspension side. Fix the bike on its center stand to take the weight, the rear wheel will drop down.

Loosen the double nut at the top part of the shock. Once released, this makes it easier to get to the bottom bolts. Remove these, replace with a new shock.

Maybe go for a firmer spring/shock if you carry passengers. I've regularly got two on the bike so I went for a 230lb spring.

Hope this helps and vote for me please if it does.
