SOURCE: how to change plugs on 2008-1125r buell

You need to pick up a copy of the factory service manual from either Americansportbike.com or your local dealer (part number 99491-08Y). The procedure involves lowering the engine from the frame, so it is not something that is easily described online.

The instuments in the dash started going crazy, the tach gauge is stuck, what is the problem?

Stay out of the Burmuda triangle. :) (It's getting late 5:AM) check for a bad ground on the instrument cluster in the dash. Good luck. Jeff M.

1997 mustang instument cluster problems

If the warning lights work we will assume the fuse for "cluster" or "gauges" is good, so the problem may be in the printed circuit board inside the cluster. I can't tell if there is more than one power wire for the cluster from the fuse box.

One button is the "select" with which you change from ODO to TRIP and back. And the other button is "reset" to reset your TRIP meter.

All gauges on instument cluster not working

In most vehicles there is a wiring harness that runs under your dash to your heater etc. Sometimes the main plug comes loose. If you open up the steering column or somewhere down by your feet on the steering column is the main plug - look in your manual and track the wires with a tester ensuring you have power all the way to whatever is not working. If there is no power at the main plug then you might have a ground problem or a loose wire in the plug itself. Good luck

Instument Guages

well the issue is youe enitre gauge cluster i do understand that your speedometer is working but it is a cable speedometer not electronic like everything else in the gauge cluster so first i would recomend checking the voltage getting to your gauge cluster then just replace the guagecluster they are really cheap i a salvage and not hard to install at all but the cluster itself is not very comon to go out so make sure you check voltage to it first i wouldnt want you to go through buying and replaceing the cluster and that not fix it

The contacts in the cluster are going bad, you will need to replace it but it will need to be programed to the truck or it will not start because of the security keys. If you buy one used it will show the milage that goes with the cluster so you could get in trouble that way, i bought mine from ford for 210.
