1997 la sabre no noise starter wont turn motor over,turn by hand it binds up

Pull the spark plugs and see if coolant comes out of the spark plug holes when you turn it over by hand. If it does than the upper plenum has ruptured and will need to be replaced.

Replaced a starter went to hook battier back up and it is sparking pretty good!!!!

Make sure starter end of battery cable is not touching anything else but the mounting post on the starter. Make sure Pos is to pos and neg is to neg

timeing jumped? fireing order is 1-3-4-2 this is corect! these cars use platinum plugs supper frisky!!!! why i ask timeing is fact you state you wore out starter not good!i see so many timetimes people burn out starters and pushing gas while cranking in desperate atempt to get it started that is a good was to jump timeing however you have a chain on it!!!not a timeing belt but i would check fire order then take it from that point good luck ,John

1997 Toyota Camry won't start

The clicking is the starter solenoid, and the battery change doesn't change or hurt the situation, it's just coincidence. Either the solenoid or the starter itself is bad; you need the starter system tested in order to identify the problem. Get a firm estimate from any decent shop.If you need another starter, a rebuilt is just fine.

97 intrepid no spark replaced coil checked all fuses and relays , replaced computer ,crank and camshaft sensors. still no spark

Check the is on the battery side by the manifold and autozone will do a free test. if thats not it, check if there is a fuze on the wire to to starter...and if that isn't it then it could be your ignition switch

Engine will not start. Good battery and turning over strong.

Had the same problem on my ES300, I was stunned when told I needed to replace the starter. I did and now it starts like a champ. Turns out after several years, starters can go bad. Good luck...
