SOURCE: My hose lost radiator fluid on my 04 Honda shadow

Replace the broken hose and put it in the same way as in the old ones.
Refill your coolant reservoir until full with proper coolant then turn on your bike, let it idle until coolant overflows from reservoir. When that happens turn off the bikle, fop up the coolant reservoir and put the cap on. You're now good to use it. Tomorrow, when engine still cold, check your reservoir and top up again if required.
Good enough?

My bike a 2004 shadow aero will not start in the morning sometimes it will if i spray carb cleaner in the intake inside the air box i just had the carb cleaned and the vac hose replaced and valves adj

Have the plugs been replaced? Fouled plugs can cause this condition. All carburetors cause more difficult starts in the cold, because they need a richer fuel mixture. An intake leak can also cause hard starting because it leans out the air/fuel mixture.

Start with the plugs first since you didn't mention those. Here is a handy reference for standard NGK plugs. http://ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/faqs/faqread.asp

After you get the bike started, spray some WD-40 around the carburetor intake manifold seals. If the RPMs change, you have an intake leak.

Hope this helps.

I need to replace the o ring (petcock) on my 2004 honda shadow aero and need to know if i need to remove tank or maybe get special tool to remove petcock

Drain the tank. You should be able to remove the petcock by simply turning the nut holding it on or turning the whole petcock assembly. It may be stuck in place by the o-ring/fuel filter inserted into the tank. Be sure the filter is in place when you put the petcock back on or you will have problems with leaking gas out the carburetor overflows (from tank rust getting into the carburetors). Chances are the leaking gas is not form the tank sealing o-ring, but from the vacuum diaphragm assembly attached to the back of the petcock. Part # 5 on the microfiche.

Sat for two years. will not start. not getting any gas. fires if starter fluid sprayed in air intake

Hi,
If it sat for 2 years, you can assume that the carburetors are clogged up. You will need to remove them and clean out the bowls and jets with carburetor cleaner. Make sure your tank and fuel lines are completely cleaned out too.

Bike runs when you pour gas in carburetor but won't pull from the tank, there is gas in the tube that feeds the carbs.

two things. could be that peacock is plugged or there is sometimes a vacumm on the peacock coming from the carbs that sucks the peacock open allowing fuel to flow from the tank. if that hose has a hole in it it will not open the peacock. hope this helps.
