SOURCE: Just wanted to determine, for a Kawasaki bayou

ON = Vertical. The fuel petcock may also have a "reserve" position. If it does, then when you run out of gas riding down the road all you need to do is reach down and flip the petcock lever to the reserve position. This lets the last 1/2 gallon of gas in the tank to be used. Most petcocks have a "bowl" with a 10 milimeter bolt head on the bottom. This is actually a basin that catches a bit of trash and any water that gets into the gas.
.
Turn the lever to the "off" position then remove the bowl and look to see if any water or trash is at the bottom. Since water is heavier than gas that is where the water will collect. While the bowl is off, momentarily turn the lever all the way past vertical to the other horizontal direction. If fuel still comes out after passing vertical then you do indeed have a fuel reserve.

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Explorer Sport wont start

Even though I bought the vehicle new, there was an aftermarket security system installed. The system had a bad diode, so i removed the system and reconnected the factory wires.

SOURCE: 06 s83 won't start. Rode for 70 miles, parked in

replace your battery although you have 12 volts your battery is producing very little amps not even enough to energize your start relay let alone your starter motor

SOURCE: 20 amp ignition fuse keeps blowing

I'm curious, does this vehicle have an alarm/remote starter? If so I expect the installer didn't wire it correctly ... it was an all too frequent issue, with inexperienced installers we had .... I would first suspect any add-on device first (if any) ... In answer to your question ... I know it does have a relay (Starter solenoid is a relay and built onto the starter) As far as it being a relay or the IGN switch ... I'm skeptical.

How to know if the magnetic switch is bad on a 220 bayou

well it tells me that the starter is good and you may need a new relay or it may just be the fuse!! Not sure on that model if that is the only fuse or not, on my 300 bayou there is a fuse at the battery and it could be blown as well. The manual will tell you ALL about the machine and give you troubleshooting tips!!

.have a 2001 300 kawasaki

Ok, disconnect your starter and try again. Starter pulls the most Amps, out of your battery during start, and that's why the cables going to it, are practically driven from the battery directly to it with the help of a small relay. You could have a problem with your starter, if the fuse you burn is the big 30A. If smaller Amp fuse is getting "killed", all you got to do is check your fuse box guide and see which sub circuit is the one "in pain".

I have a starting problem on my 99 220 bayou it has to be pop started on the solenoid to even turn over? any suggestions? pleaase? maby relay?

if your popping the solenoid on the starter. then it is wore out or seizing up. i think it's time to replace the starter. i had that same problem with a 1987 monticarlo that had headers heating up the starter. so i did the screwdriver starting bit and it was not fun.
