This probably means that you overfilled it with fluid and when it gets hot there is no expansion space for it to go to.Bleed the system from the slave cylinder's bleeder to get all the air out of it and at the end of the procedure fill the fluid bottle by it's 2/3rds. Usually there is a MAX mark there.

Six yrs, is a long time. You really should change the oil. Oil also breaks down like gasoline does. Wet clutches require an oil containing certan sdditives. Old or regular motor oil is not well tolerated. Make sure you have free play on the clutch lever., about 1/8 in. - good luck- Ned

Well i would say the clutches have sat dry to long. You may change the oil and it solve the problem but more than likely new clutch discs.

    Gear doesn't engage

When the problem acures again.Have someone step on the peddle, then release does the clutch leaver in the bell housing go back allso,if not loosen the line at slave cylinder, does it go back now,if not might be binding at trans input shaft.if it does release tighten line again pump peddle 3 times and go after master cylinder line.with peddle released does fluid squrt out.has the fluid ever been changed.like all fluids they absorb moisture that freezes or creates dirt from rust and binds the system.i would flush with DOT3 or DOT4 BRAKE FLUID.

Why does my clutch suddenly feel like its slipping on my merc capri xr2 turbo, engaging way to late after release of clutch pedal...hydraulic? mechanical? does it need a simple cable adjustment or flu

If you hit the gas in gear does it slip ? if its hydrolic and low fluid it wouldnt release the clutch you didnt put the year but i would have to go with adjusted at the tranny easy if thats the case also maybe the clutch is gone and theres a chatching point soyou dont mess up the flywheel those are spendy even used it engages the tranny starts the car and most importantly ballances the engine there for removing some metal could throw the balance way off

I just changed the hydraulic master cyl and bleed the clutch over a few days with 1/2 bottle of DOT-4. The bike starts fine in neutral but locks up when put into gear. How do I get the clutch plates un...

It sounds very much like you have still got air in the system, have you tried bleeding the system with individual strokes Eg: bleed tube on nipple going into a glass jar with some fluid in the bottom of it. Release the bleed nipple operate the clutch, keeping the clutch gripped tighten the bleed nipple. release the clutch then open the nipple and grip the clutch again then close the nipple release the clutch etc etc until there is no bubbles appearing in the fluid in the jar. Remember you can compress air and so any air that is in the system will compress instead of displacing the fluid. Fluid cannot be compressed therefore it must be displaced, so no air in the system then displacement occurs. Failing that release the outflow from the MC just enough for fluid to escape then wrapping a cloth around the outflow pipe to avoid fluid dripping on paintwork, pull the clutch then tighten the outflow pipe, release it once again and pull the clutch then tighten the pipe again when you feel sure there is no air in the MC making sure the outflow pipe is tightened then move down to the slave cyl and bleed as describediously prev

nothing but try blowing it through its much faster and if the cluch master cilinder is sticky you wont bleed it plus if your too slow the air runs back up the pipe faster than you pump it down
from one biker with the big "C" to another biker with the big "C" pump it faster

I believe this has a hydraulic clutch. If this is the case it would appear either the master or slave cylinder are failing. Check the fluid level too as it may be low. I'd start the fix by bleeding this system first, if it continues I expect there is wear in the cylinders and you need to rebuild or replace.
I hope this may have helped,

    1100 wierd clutch disengage problem

Bleed your slave cylinder on the sprocket cover and refill the hydraulic fluid. If you have any leaks you will get air in the system and it will not fully disengage the clutch. As for the 750, they have cable clutches and you just need to adjust the slack of the cable.
