Check tire pressures and tire wear condition. may be time to have front fork bearings serviced and fork fall away adjusted.

How to align front wheel with the handlebars ?

Take a two-level board, one placed on the right and the other on the left side of the front and rear tire and fastened them together, now the front wheel is in line, now measure the left and right site of the handle bar to the same left/right spot on the bike.

Alignment of front wheel and handlebars on a trek bike

Ok this will amuse you but......
Take a broom handle and place it along saddle in line with top tube. Align stem and front wheel with this and tighten everything up.....plus this aligns your saddle.
True story. I was helping to put bike together for bro that owns shop. I left my laser at home and he says "broom alignment"....jeez it's brilliant. I have used it ever since as it keeps wheel stem top tube and saddle in perfect line.
Hope this helps

My BMW R 1100RT pulls to the left. This means constant pressure on my left hand. To remove hands from the handlebars and go in a straight line I have to transfer my weight to the left side. The alignment...

Check the bolts that hold your forks in place, if they are tight, loosen the middle bolts that hold the forks and give the front wheel a good nudge against a brick wall, this is the old fashioned way of aligning your front forks, it does work but make sure those bolts are loose

How do you raise the handlebars for the animator first bike by Giant bikes?

David-

To raise or lower the handlebars, first loosen the hex screw on the top of the stem. One or two turns is all that will be necessary. Next, you will need to stand in front of the bike with the front wheel between your legs to brace it, and give the handlebars a forceful twist to the left or right. This action will break the friction of the handlebar stem and the headtube (the headtube is part of the frame where the front forks and the handlebar stem meet...). With the handlebars loosened you can adjust the handlbars up or down. Keep in mind that the stem has only a specific amount of adjustment available...there is a limit to how far it can be extended up, as indicated by a line marked on the stem shaft. Once adjusted to the desired height, check that the handlebars and front fork and wheel are aligned. Tighten the screw in the top of the stem and you're done!

Hope this helps.

2000 Valkyrie Interstate 8,400 miles. After installing a new front tire and heading for ride, I noticed while going straight, my handlebars and fairing were pointing to the right a bit. Getting on level...

provided the wheel and spacers were reinstalled correctly, you can loosen 3 of the 4 the tripple clamp pinch bolts and push the wheel against a wall until straight and retighten, the forks may have had a slight twist and the wheel was holding it straight, when the wheel was reinstalled the axle would pull them back to where they should be

I crashed and need to straighten the steering. The front wheel is turning to the left. How do I re-align the handlebars and front wheel?

First, support the bike so that the front wheel is off the ground. Then, loosen (do not remove, just loosen them) the bolts that clamp the fork tubes into the upper and lower triple clamp braces. Loosen the front axle attachments to the fork legs. Now stand in front of the bike and hold the front wheel between your knees and turn the handlebars until they are straight - and re-tighten everything. Also, check the large nut on top of the steering stem, making sure it is tight.

My Motorcycle fell over!

Chances are the forks are just a bit out of alignment from the fall. Put the bike on the center stand with the front wheel pointing perfectly straight ahead. Are the handlebars looking like they are turning a bit to the left or right? If so, just go to the front of the bike and straddle the front wheel while facing the rear of the bike. Hold the wheel firmly with your legs and firmly twist the bars back to a straight position. Re-check the alignment and re-adjust as needed. Now go ride and check it out.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Dyna pulling to the right

My Fat Boy pulled to one side, service at dealer first asked me if it started after I added the saddle bags (wind resistance). Turned out the rear alignment was off a little and that now it's riding pretty true. I know from when it was pulling, I could sit a little to one side in the saddle and it would run true, so I suppose it's possible if you're not sitting straight in the saddle, it could pull. Same for load in the saddle bags, more weight on one side could cause it to pull.
