When I started to charge up one of my two batteries the charger light went red two seconds later it went dark and I know the battery was dead.,Then I tried my second battery which was somewhat still charged and the same thing happened,so is the batteries or the charger that has died?

My charger has a fuse located on the circuit board inside the unit....when mine stopped working, it was the fuse...replaced it and it is working fine for one battery, the other blows the fuse every time....bad battery.

The unit is probably bad. Mine just died turned out its the wall wart. The wall wart is a transformer only set up and outputs about 17VAC. The DC conversion is done in the clip. Only option I found was to replace the charger with the new multivolt charger , Upside batteries charge in about an hour to hour+1/2 vice 3 hours.
