The 2018 Honda Grom CDI power wiring diagram

Here is a basic wiring diagram for the CDI power circuit on a 2018 Honda Grom:
  1. The CDI power wire is typically a red wire that runs from the ignition switch to the CDI unit.
  2. The ignition switch is usually located on the right side of the handlebar and has three wires connected to it: a red wire, a black wire, and a white wire.
  3. The red wire from the ignition switch connects to the red wire on the CDI unit.
  4. The black wire from the ignition switch is typically a ground wire that connects to the frame of the motorcycle.
  5. The white wire from the ignition switch is usually a power wire that supplies power to the headlight and other accessories.
  6. The CDI unit converts the power from the ignition switch into a high-voltage spark that ignites the fuel in the engine.
Note: This is a general wiring diagram and the wire colors and connections may vary depending on the specific model and year of the Honda Grom. It is important to refer to the owner's manual or a detailed wiring diagram specific to your motorcycle for accurate information. Additionally, modifying the electrical system of your motorcycle may void the warranty and could cause damage or injury if done improperly

Break light out, tail is ok. New bulb put in. What can we check.

Hi, as the tail light gets its supply from the ignition switch, it sounds like you have an issue with either a bad earth on the rear light or a break in the wireing from under the seat to the light, lift the seat, pull apart the loom that feeds the rear light, you will have a green, (earth) and a brown = rear tail light, and green/ red brake light, as the tail light is working you can use the rear lite supply to check the circuit from the connection to the light. ,under the seat disconnect the brown, and the green/red and plug them together in reverse, now if the system is ok the rear light opperation, will light up the brighter fillement of the bulb and the rear light will look brighter than previouse, if it does noy light, then the problem lies in the wire from that point to the light, if it does light return the wireing back to normal, find the rear brake switch, separate the two wires on the loom end plug both of the wires togeter without the switch, if the light works then the switch must be replaced, good luck, paul

How do I fix my break light when it stays on the whole time I'm riding?

There are 2 brake light switches one on the front brake master cylinder and one connected to the foot brake lever.
First Check your rear brake light switch adjustment loosen it until the light goes off, if not unplug the wires to that switch if it goes off replace it if it is bad,if its still on go to the front master cylinder unplug it if the light goes off replace the front brake light switch.

I AM CONNECTING A TRAILER TO MY 05 HONDA VTX 1300R AND AM WIRING IN THE LIGHT CONNECTIONS. I AM USING A REGULAR TRAILER WIRING CONNECTION SET. IT HAS ONLY 4 WIRES. DO I HAVE TO HAVE A ADAPTER FOR THE BREAK...

Your bike should have 3 main wires in the rear even if they split to power 2 bulbs each.
1 for brake light
1 for night rear light
1 for ground.
Your trailer should have additionally 2 more for the turn signals.

Need to reconnect tail lights, blinkers, stoplight 08 honda crf450x

CRF450x rear wiring is as follows:
Green/yellow stripe-tail light only earth
green-blinkers+tail light.Common neutral.
brown- tail light power
blue- right blinker
orange- left blinker

Make sure the neutral wire from the blinkers are connected on a single line to the green wire from the tail light.

I'm not sure with after market lights so if there is not a connection for the earth there may be a screw point. If you can take the lense of the light you should be able to see the connection points.
