My kawasaki brute force 750 was running great all winter with no problems, except for the odd tough time starting due too weather condition. But my problem all started this morning, everything seems normal started my quad, warmed it up, attempted to ride but also I applied gas headed down the road suddenly the quad died. Not far from my home it kept doing same thing over n over until I made it home. It starts, idles, but wouldn't run... Please help the confused?

Hey Belbowski,
Has it been sitting for a while?? Sounds like it could be several things..
1. The needle and seat in the carb may be dirty/clogged/sticking and not allowing a full flow of fuel into the float bowl.. when the bowl fills, it will run fine for about 20 - 45 seconds then "run out of gas.. it will restart and repeat this over and over.
2. The petcock/fuel tank may be stopped up/clogged/blocked and not allowing a full flow of fuel to the carb... causing the same symptoms as #1.
3. ..maybe..you may have a vacuum leak causing the fuel pump to not pump enough fuel to the carb. = Symptoms #1
4. Fuel pump might be bad. = Symptoms #1
Once you eliminate these items... repost with results.

Sounds like what you realy need to do is remove the carb jets and give them a good clean , this if I am right is the twin V 8 valve engine with twin Klhein carbs , make sure also your air filter is not dirty and check tank fuel filter ,, other than that you may be intrested in the manuel obtainable from this site

Check the intake manifold/s, even a small leak will make it run poor. Being stored for five years then putting it into use, you may have a blocked main jet. Sea-foam is a great product and I would have used that product to store the bike but not to get it running. It is slow acting so it doesnt work like carb cleaner.

SOURCE: electric start cliking, lights flicker when running

if you have a volt meter, check the battery cables for voltage when its running. if you read above 12 volts, then your charging system is fine - replace the battery. if less than 12 volts, then you have a bad stator winding and will need to have the charging portion of the stator replaced. probably about a $300 part.

I have a 2005 brute force 750 won't start with electric start it will start when I pull start it will run.when it's running the lites and display are flickering .

Sounds like your battery is about dead... replace the battery and clean the connectors/wires/terminals.. and a little waterproof grease will stop the corrosion. Make sure the new connections are tight!

Hit the start button and nothing happens 2008 750 brute force

Check your starter solenoid. You can trace it by following the power wire from the battery to the small solenoid block that contains a 30 amp fuse. You can bridge the posts on the solenoid by using needle nose pliers or whatever else you may have. If it starts up or you hear the starter run, you have a bad starter solenoid.

How long since the oil has been changed? Is the oil level OK? It sounds like you have a sticky valve that hangs open once in a while.
