SOURCE: head gasket 'blown' on 94 Nissan Cefiro, 2.5L, 24

if you get a haynes repair manual and follow it step by step everything should go fine. or clintons. if you have questions about what its telling you to do then that would be a good thing to ask. the problem is there are alot of different designs for engines and it could be affected and it could not be. but if your not sure you definitly need a repair manual. it would tell you everything but it will guide you in the right direction

SOURCE: what gaskets do I need

Head bolts and head gaskets. Let's see, you will need a lower and upper intake set as well. These head gaskets usually blew because bad fan relays caused the gaskets to blow and warped the heads. Ford used cheap oil pressure switches that leaked as well.

How to replace the head gasket on an 86 FORD BRONCO

A torque wrench to tighten the bolts to spec. Necessary tools to remove the head bolts. A gasket scraper for the rocker cover gasket and the head gasket.. If you have a blown head gasket the chances of a warped head is about 98%, so be prepared to have the head machined flat before reinstalling the head. You might want to do a valve job and replace the valve stem seals since you're going to remove the head. If you decide to do a valve job, you MUST do both heads or the engine will never run good.

I have a 94 Mercedes benz that need. Head gaskets to be replaced can i put some from another Mercedes car or do they need to be rebuilt

head gaskets are a one of use item. They have an adhesive sealer in them and once used are not fit for reuse. If you are talking reusing the heads from another car, that will be a cheap way to go but will the heads be better than yours. Top job is to rebuild your heads with new head gaskets.

1999 ford explorer blown head gasket. is it ok for the head be resurfaced. V6

well experts recommend that, i replaced a head gasket to a 94 toyota 4runner and i did not resurfaced, all i did was a visual inspection of valves springs seats etc,and of course a good clean aruond both surfaces, block and head, if all this looks good, go ahead, goodluck. head bolts must torque to spec. good luck

My 95 mustang had over heated, has blowing head gaskets and it won't start what do i need to do to fix it?

V6? these are famous for head gaskets and cracked heads. the heads will need to come off and checked over for cracks and repair or replacement by a automotive machine shop.

Blown head gasket

Depending on the size of the leak theragasket may work. There are other products that add to the anti-freeze, if it's anti-freeze that is leaking. Some add to the oil. For a temp fix I would and have been able to prolong a head gasket replacement. But it's just a temporary fix. Could last 1 week, 6 months or not at all.
A head gasket replacement is not a easy job, messy if you do it and a little costly if a shop does it. I've been there, Good luck

My 94 taurus wont accelerate and it sounds like a lawn mower

very well could be the head gasket. The 3.0 v-6 VIN U (8th digit in the vehicle identification number is a U) had a problem with head gaskets blowing. Typically when they blow the heads crack and need replaced. the repair is VERY EASY to do, i suggest buying th haynes manual and getting started. check the heads and good luck.

94 grand am Head Gasket?

Check ur spark plugs for wetness, if u have water in ur cylinders, you have a gasket problem. 94-95 grand am had a problem with intake gaskets, but my grand am also had a manufacture error on the head gasket too. The dragged the heads over it putting the heads back on and smashed the rings..

Head gaskets

first up , if there was no compression test done to determine if the head gasket is in fact at fault then do not take that persons word for the fault
the original problem could be blocked radiator cores that could handle the extra cooling required by the long trip at speed, could be a problem thermostat or radiator hose collapsing
while you may now have a problem head gasket / warped/cracked head that is just the symptom of a failure elsewhere
from your statement I would recommend that you find an accredited service center with experience on your make of vehicle and get proper diagnosis and quotes as it will cost you a lot more from your inexperience if you diy
