You state that you have changed the battery but did you change it for a brand new one ? It appears your batteries don't have enough power to spin the motor fast enough to start the motor.
This could also be the reason it stares OK when hot, the battery having been given a fresh charge by the alternator, Try a new battery. your local dealer will probably agree with me.

You have either air in your hydraulics which you need to bleed or else the clutch plates are worn/warped....here is the repair manual....
rate me if I've helped you. Thanks.

I have just found my 30 amp fuse blown on my daytona , this prevents the alternator working , it was reading 10.9v before I changed the 30 amp fuse , now it reads 14.5 volts , I think I blew it as I didnt know how to put the alarn into service mode and left the ignition on , anyway I am hoping its just that , 3 heat up/cool down cycles and the engine management light should go out

SOURCE: 2009 Dyna Super Glide Custom starting problems:
Does the start quit turning or does it continue to sound like it's turning? If the starter quits turning, I'd suspect the battery. Take it out and have it tested. Usually no charge for this service at most any auto parts house.
If the starter sounds like it's still turning but the engine isn't, that's an indication that the "starter clutch" is bad inside the starter. This is the "one way bearing" unit that turns the engine to start it but then freewheels when the engine starts. I've seen many of them go bad. If the bike is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer before the warranty runs out. At least have a documented complaint of the problem within the warranty period. That way, if the warranty runs out you may can still get it fixed under the warranty.

test the batt -it must be 12v at all times -slightly lower and ignition wont function
Yes = getting fuel (Go to 2)2 - Does the plug have spark? It should be a BRIGHT blue spark.
No = Not getting fuelCarb is probably blocked/dirty
vacuum fuel valve faultyCheck carb has fuel in it. Open the drain screw on the bowl of the carb and see if any fuel is released.
If so, the vacuum valve is fine.
