Bike was running fine but not used for a couple of weeks tried to start today turns over but will not fire and showing error code -1 on instrument panel
SOURCE: bike does not start
Hi, I would start by checking to be sure the battery has a good enough charge, if not then locate the starter relay and try jumping the two terminals on it and seeing if the bike will start that way if so then you will need to replace the starter relay. good luck

I have had the same problem. It is not the spark plugs - although it is always a ggod idea to change them to eliminater them as a potential issue.
The Spark plug holder can be a problem - in my case the wires leading from the ignition lead into the holder - had started to work loose- a common problem apparently. Solved by changing the holders.
SOURCE: error code yamaha r6 2007 51 how can i erase it?
could be a safety shutdown by computer, only your dealer can erase the code....and then you'll find out whats wrong...and why the computer doesn't want you starting and damaging the bike.......Good Luck to you friend....Tim
SOURCE: how to change the choke cable on a yamaha fazer
choke cables normaly last for ever, so it prob needs just a bit of oil. remove upper end of cable, tape a cone on it and pour some 20/50 into it. if it is broken, observe the set up and replace.
SOURCE: dirt bike thats hard to start..
needle and seat are worn out in carb, to much fuel is flooding cylinder. remove carb, clean, get new needle and seat, set float. problem goes away. pull your plug after kicking. its probably wet.
When you push, or pull start you evacuate excessive fuel, when engine is warm, easier to start extra fuel burns easier.
