I have a Rocky Mountain KAT-TRAXX Radar.laser. g-force, it will not go go to Radar detector mode when I turn it on or when I try to select Radar mode. This option is gone

It is for the city. The bandwidth changes for city and highway.

Can you provide some more detail? You need the external unit in your car for it to work. Do you have that?

Nothing wrongs, in my early days I was a police man for a few years before I got married, and wife made me retire as of fear ofvsomething happening. The only time your radar will trigger around a police car, is if he has it on, button depressed or constantly on. Most the time they won't have it on like me unless I am sitting looking for violators. WHY? Two reason, wheres down battery on radar gun and annoying beeps on the radar gun for the officer. A lot of times we are just sitting in a traffic area doing reports, and look up and then for odvious speeder, just by us being parked on the road doing nothing, makes are presence known, and automatically has traffic slow down. city mode is a filter to cut out most false alarms caused by mainly x band which is used a lot by store security and automatic door openers i always leave my detector on city no matter where i am driving

You can get a tiny speaker from a laptop or Radio Shack.
