Check to see that the bag mounting bracket and torsion spring are in place, the bracket will be either a dark graphite color like most of the vacuum or green. If you only have a protruding tube where you put the bag on, then your bag mount have come off and you should order a new one; very inexpensive and it comes with a new spring.

SOURCE: Dust bag was full and have changed it but not

The extension tube is probably blocked. Check for suction with all the tubes off - if there is suction now then the tubes are blocked - be carefull not to damage them if you poke things in the unblock them.

Miele s7210 light comes on,but doesn't run. no clogged hoses.

I have a Miele with a failed motor and it sounds if you have as well. The is nothing shown as a common, or known fault. Take it to your local Miele Service Centre for diagnosis and repair.

From the first day the dust, carpet, etc.. has been coming out of the vacuum - all over, every exit point, the top is covered in dust, clumps are pulled from under the hood, and even within the extension...

Verify the bag is connected properly or that the bag is not cut. Was there some shipping spacers that you were to remove before use? Look at the owner's manual again. Good Luck

Assembly

The gears on the rear wheel assembly have to be aligned properly before they can be fastened in place, otherwise the rear axel will be crooked and and will not sit level. Your post is from 5 months ago, have you resolved the issue yet?

I just changed my bag and now it is squealing and the red bar is in window?

It would seem that your vacuum is clogged, hence the change bag indicator. Pull the hose out and and remove at the swivel connection at the base of the hose. You can use a small flashlight to check the hose, lay the hose on the floor with the light at one end and look for light at the other end. I know the grip end is curved but you should be able to see some light. Check the rear port by removing the cover located near the base, on the rear side, close to the hose swivel. Unscrew the 2 plastic screws and lift out the cover; check for a clog here. Next lay the vacuum flat on it's front and shine the light behind the brush roll and up the short black internal hose. Facing the metal sole plate, the hose should be near the right corner. Good luck.

My Riccar Upright leave lines of debris when I use it. Can you help?

Inspect the filter.Open the secondary filter on the base of the vacuum to ensure that dirt and debris have not collected on the filter, as this will limit motor performance. Remove the filter from the dust compartment and rinse with water to clean. Allow it to dry completely and return to the dust compartment.--------
Also check if dust bag is got over full and that is causing the problem.Open the dust compartment, take the old dust bag out of the bag holder and discard. Open the end of a new dust bag and attach to the dust bag holder. Close the dust compartment and tighten the dust cover. Also check properly that dust compartment is not got loose. Open cleaning attachment and check the hoses and nozzles on the frequently to ensure that they are free of dirt, obstruction or hair. Also inspect the brushes, if there is already dirt got stuck in the brushes and that is causing the problem.Clean the brushed.---------- This will help, to confirm where the problem is and to resolve the dirt /debris issue.----- Thanks.Helpmech.

Where do I find the bags for this old c1403 one?

Were these generic bags or Hoove brand? Also, I believe that some bags have a rubber seal on the inside of the hole to attach. I hope this helps. Type A is the correct one.

Electrolux Model 2100 vacuum won't work

hi from uk may i suggest you remove cover and the new dust collection bag then if you look in the bag compartment there is a gauze filter fitted usually grey in colour ? at opposite end of compartment where bag connects this gauze filter is the outlet from bag compartment that the air exhales when vac is operating ie as vac **** up dust into bag the bag has microscopic holes that allow sucked up air and dust to collect but keeps dust from passing into bag chamber but allows air to escape thro holes and so enter bag chamber then escapes via the gauze filter to outside of vac hope you follow this ?? now if this filter is blocked/never been cleaned/changed ? then the symptoms of indicator bag full light will come on you can remove and wash filter if it is gauze typ? dry and refit then try vacuuming ? or replace filter they are not expensive usually in pack of 3 in uk DO NOT RUN VAC WITHOUT THIS FILTER FITTED ! or you will have some dust in the room ? hope this helps?
