Plug fouling is a common issue when the bike is started and turned off before reaching operating temperature. This often happens when people start the bike to hear the exhaust and then turn it off after revving it a few times. The easy solution is to ride more. Never start the bike unless you are actually going to ride it, and avoid short trips which do not allow the bike to warm up and recharge the battery.

2007 Buell Firebolt XB9R. How do I change the back tire on a fuel 9 rFirebolt 2007.

Question edited for a lot more clarity. It amuses me that posters throw a jumble of words at the page, don't read what the wrote and leave it to the Experts for sort out :>D I left your text as you wrote it. 'Year Make Model' needs to be first and in that order.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks to model category.

Tires are hard work to change unless you are very strong and have good tire levers. Better to let a motorcycle shop supply the tire and change the old tire out, just take them the wheel.

Or, buy the tire and take wheel and tire to a local tire shop. They will normally do bike wheels and balance them

How oil goes in the primary for 03 Buell firebolt xb9r

Stand the bike upright (use a swingarm stand or lean against a wall), then poor one quart of oil (I recommend Harley Formula+) into either of the windows on the primary cover. The oil should be just covering the bottom of the gear visible in the larger window.

The bike is completely dead. I put the key in and nothing happens. Ive had the bike on the charger and still nothing. Will a new battery fix this problem or could it be something else?

Hello first have the battery checked off the bike if it is dead then you need of course a new battery. then if it is good well you know the answer something else.

Try changing your spark plugs, this should get you started but also drain out old fuel a put fresh fuel in, use a fuel system cleaner like redex etc in a couple of tanks of fuel.

How hard is it to change plugs in an 03 buell firebolt xb9r

Well, it depends on how nimble your fingers are!

for the front plug: remove the shifter side air scoop. . You should be able to get an open end wrnch up onto the plug pretty easily. When it is loose remove the spark plug boot from the plug. Next put the new plug up into the head and start the threads gently BY HAND!. This is an aluminum head and the plug has steel threads. You do not want to strip those threads. Once the plug is finger tight give it another 1/6 to 1/4 turn with the open ended wrench. then reach up with those nimble fingers (or a pair of plug boot pliers) and slip the plug wire back on until it seats.

The rear head requires the removal of the inner and outer airbox. you can then reach down and remove the plug wire. removing the plug requires a plug socket, an extension 6-8 inches and either 1 or 2 swivels depending on how close to the frame the extension is when on the plug. back it out and remove. I recommend using a piece of rubber tubing to hold onto the rear plug in order to carefully start the plug into the threads (see above). Then once it is "finger tight" remove the tubing and use the socket to tighten properly.

Then you re-assemble your bike and go for a ride. It sounds harder than it is, and with a bit of practice we were doing this in between rounds on the race bike in minutes.

Unknown problems with my xb9r

I am having some problems with my 2003 xb9r. It has race ecm exhaust and K&N and about 5500 miles on it. The problem is i am loosing low end power and loud backfire in airbox when down shifting exhust backfires when i let off the throttle. I just put in new spark plugs and changed all the oil and it didnt help. It seems it might be running too rich but i thought the ecm would fix it on its own. I was wondering if maybe i had to get it remapped or something... any ideas?Try to check the muffler packing.,,
