Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

I just recharged the battery on my Powershot SD1300 IS and now it will not turn on. any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you have another battery or set of batteries? The battery itself/batteries could be dead beyond repair. I always carry two sets of batteries. My Canon cam takes 4 AA.

Canon powershot sd1300 is won't connect to computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

My Canon powershot SD1000 screen isn't working. Iv'e charged the battery but when I turn the camera on, the screent is black. It won't take any pictures

It's very likely the CCD sensor that needs to be replaced. If you need to have it serviced, this place is excellent for the Powershots and not much at all if you need to have one fixed: www.camerasandparts.com
Before having it fixed, press the DISP button first and make sure you just didn't turn the display off. If you end up needing service for the Canon, that place above is really great for these cameras.

The flash on my canon powershot sd1300 stopped working. Even turned back to factory settings. Any ideas?

hello jglassma!
like rodel de guzman wrote, if you can't turn it on manually, then it has propably hardware failure. but try also in a dark room and also check battery is full.

It shut down

Try removing the battery and charging it in the charging cradle. If the camera does not turn on after you have charged the battery, it may be that the battery does not hold a charge (you can test this with a simple globe test light).

If this is the case, just go and buy a new battery and charge it fully before using.

I was Importing some pictures to my computer from my Canon sd 1300 is powershot digital camera , When the Battery died , I was not in the room at the time , So I came back in and attempted to turn the...

Since your camera is new the priviledge of your warranty claims must not be lost. So do not tamper to lose this benefit but call up the call centre of Canon for registeration/advice. What you can do is to remove the battery and keep if off . Since the battery is now fully charged you can reset the battery after some hours. There must some error that could have happened when the transfer took place, even a possible errror in memory from your PC. Hope you try. Good day
